Alien Chess

In Alien Chess, your objective is to capture the opponent's king. However, this is a difficult task because you cannot move a piece until you learn its move pattern from your opponent. Learning a piece's move is called an "Observation." Observations can be used in a rematch, giving you a better chance of winning. As such, Failure in the previous match is Progress in the next.

Each match is randomly generated and poses a unique set of challenges. How far can a mere human make it in the Intergalactic Chess Tournament?
