Alwa's Awakening reviews

It's been a long time since I played this game, but here is my little criticism. This is a Metroidvania style game and it is pretty good. The graphics and the music are very retro, it reminds of a game of the old NES. One of the peculiarities of the gameplay is that the character uses his power with his magic wand to be able to progress further in the game. These are not puzzles to say. Rather, it is a matter of remembering the places where we have been blocked and wondering whether, with our new power, we can now move forward. And that's where it gets difficult! Because, Yes, there is a map, but it is not as detailed as in some games of the genre. So it's hard to remember where you have to go in the next few days. Also, in some cases, it is not easy to succeed because it requires some skill. And that's what makes the game difficult, if you can say, because overall, it's not too difficult for a regular of the genre, even if it would make a new one! And unfortunately, until now, I have not succeeded in completing this game. I remained totally blocked I can not remember where and, at the time I played, I did not manage to find enough help on the Internet because this game is not popular enough. That said, in the case of a popular game, I would surely have been able to get to the end. It is for this reason that I give him, nevertheless, a score of 7 out of 10.

Great. This Game reminds me strongly of Battle of Olympus at the NES. You travel through a very detailed and imaginatively designed world and develop your Skills. Alwa's Awakening, however, has a lot going to go out of the Classic. The Game is always fair and therefore suitable for Children, or untrained Players. However, it takes some Effort to develop a Sense of how long you need to press the Jump button to reach the right Height. This is also necessary as There are Traps on the Ceiling. You can die immediately, but there are many Memory Points, which is why, if things go wrong, you appear Nearby. In some Places, the Design is so complex that there seems to be no Way out. Only explore it helps, i.e. check whether the Spines or Walls are real, as with the Original Metroid. In addition, there are original Ideas in the Design of the Rooms. My Favourite is a Sea Trip in front Of the clear Night Sky with Sickle Moon. The Music is harmonious and completes the nostalgic Flair. However, a few Little Things bother me. For some Rooms, the Bubbles appear too late, which is why you can overlook the Path or use the wrong Upgrade, which inevitably leads to Death. There are only 2 Rooms where this can happen, but it is annoying anyway. I would have liked more Clues about the Entrance to the Fourth Temple. You can search the Map, but then you are busy a little longer. In a boss Fight, there is only one Solution that does not involve risks. To stay fair, that was the same at many NES games. The Road to the End requires precise Jumping, which unfortunately can go wrong due to the Excitement, which is why you will experience some Sections there several times.
