Asterboids
About
Asterboids was made in about 2-3 weeks for a game jam with 'Invasion' for a theme. The idea was like asteroids but the opposite. Now the hero is defending asteroids from a hoard of invading boids.
Once you figure things out, it's about a 10-15 minute game depending on how good you get with the hook. The hook takes patience and even then...
Dev Post Mortem Notes:
- It is my first released game with godot.
- I've never put this much compact effort into a game before so I'm blown away but what I was able to accomplish in such a short period of time. Stunned really.
- It was a massive undertaking and there were a lot of late stage bugs. I fixed most of them but still working on it so if you find something, let me know.
- The hook mechanic was a major undertaking for me. It still has some wonkiness that I'm working on. I'm still happy with the final result. Never imagined pulling something like that off in just a few days.
I love feedback. Throw it at me (good or bad) and I'll chew on it and try to do something useful with it. ... and let me know if you made it to the end game content.
