Asteroids (itch) (Charles Reardon)
About
This unit involved following a tutorial while delivering everything expected in the brief. My take was to do throw back to vector/pixel graphics of old and making it look like it's being played on a burnt out CRT television, but doing so it in 3D.
This unit provides a foundation in the key aspects of game production. Students will apply this knowledge by undertaking production of a game prototype where they will further develop practical knowledge, project planning utilising agile methodologies and establishing a suitable production pipeline.
1. Interpret a games design brief.
2. Employ techniques to document and record the games design and production process.
3. Select the appropriate tools used for games production.
4. Apply appropriate development methodologies and process in the creation of computer games including key concepts of project management.
5. Analyse and describe the various roles associated with games production including aspects of professional and ethical behaviour and expectations surrounding skills and knowledge.
