At the Ends of Eras [WIP Demo]

In a remote desert province lies the Medium, a machine that allows you to talk with the dead.  The way it works is simple: it scans the brain of the user, and from their memories, constructs an AI of the person they wish to talk with.

From her reading, Jacqueline Southcott, "Jackie", is confident the machine will give her what she needs: a chance to see her mother, Tara, who disappeared when she was a small child.

There are many Mediums all around the world, but it just so happens one of them lies in the Braalna province of Yaqaz: her mother's homeland.

Combining the Medium's computing power with everything Jackie can learn about her mother in this place, perhaps there's hope to find something more than memories.

At the Ends of Eras is an open-world 3D platformer where you explore the desert province of Braalna.

This demo includes the introduction and the surrounding area of the world. The game is still early in development with known issues such as framerate hitches, missing sound effects, and a low density of content. Feedback is appreciated.

Gameplay tips for things without in-game tutorials:

• You can reset to your most recent checkpoint by holding [Select/Option/Whatever it's called] on controller, or [X] on a QWERTY keyboard (it's based on the key's position, not the letter).
  You keep all items on reset or death, it just teleports you back and heals you.  Very useful if you fell and lost progress!
• You can sleep to pass the night. Crouch on a bed or hold crouch without moving for several seconds to sit, then hold crouch again to sleep. You'll sleep 2 hours at a time during the day, and sleep until morning at night.
  Sleeping on the ground doesn't heal you or create a new checkpoint, so watch out if you were trying to sleep right before a tricky climb!
