Griptape Backbone reviews and comments

Translated by

FREE "Griptape Backbone" is a senseless First-person skater game with Vaporwave Music. The Gameplay is mechanically quite weak. While we have a Number of Tricks that we can perform on our Skateboard, the basic Control itself, which can be done with Mouse and two Buttons, is already so sluggish and inorganic that one has the Impression of having a Tank through the World. Move. Relaxe, as the Game requires, I can only move very conditionally with such an unfavorable Control. In addition, a huge vaporwave soundtrack plays. If you do not know the electronic Music Genre created in the 2013 ' s, it should be said that the same one took care of himself musically, especially in the 1980s, and often offers very soft Musical Changes in retrocult character, which could perhaps have existed at that time. The pseudo-philosophical Carpet that this movement, which has not exactly been soaked In Intelligence, throws around with Catchphrases such as Postmodernism and Consumer criticism, without mostly understanding what they are actually talking about. Our only Task in the Game now is to collect a thousand Plastic Cups, which in itself should not be difficult, but only time-consuming, because there are thousands standing around the Area. So let's go. The World is quite colorful and quite empty. There are some Objects everywhere, some huge Half-Pipes or even just pink Mountains. On them you can find tons of Memes, philosophical Sayings, unphilosophical Questions or even just any Words. We find a Figure of Sisyphos trying to raise a Rock up the Mountain with the Saying "Making good progress today ..." Or the Tombstone of Albert Camus. This is all presented as you like, senseless, unrelated nebs-up. And that's where the Crux of the Problem lies, too. The fact That the Author thinks that he is having a Form of postmodern Confrontation with Death and the Meaning of Life is all well and good. Unfortunately, he is just not the Sovereign Over his Subject. Selling the Destruction of The meaning as Truth is about as small spiritual as it is to think that derrida Deconstructivism consists only of the Destruction of Things. What is actually present here is a great Nothingness, a Collection of Arbitrariness and Platitude. A stylish Conception of Philosophy that can only be done in an arrogant Attitude and has nothing more to do with Truth. This is endeavoured, unconsegrated, overrated, presumptuous and simply stride and thus fits very well with what Vaporwave also stands for.
