in AUSRA, you play as CHAI -- a young girl who comes from a long line of protectors of the AUSRA TREE. this tree is the center of all life in CHAI's world, and every 200 years, the tree must be replanted before the last leaf falls. 

this duty suddenly falls on CHAI when she has a nightmare of the AUSRA dying -- 150 years too early.
