Avoid the Void (Ace Savaid)

Made for the Ontario Tech GPC Mechanics Jam  Winter 2023 with the triple theme of  Void, Racing and Projectiles.

Run and shoot your way through obstacles to avoid being swallowed by the void chasing you.   You have a limited amount of bullets and health so be sure to use them wisely.   There are also power-ups as well as power-downs to watch out for as you manoeuvre around the environment. 

Themes:

Void: A dark abyss chases the player.  If it catches the player the player dies.

Projectiles: The player can shoot projectiles to break breakable blocks to help or hinder their escape. They have a limit to the amount of bullets per run.

Race: You are racing against yourself to get the best time in each level, gauging the best paths and strategies to get a new record.  Each Level saves your best time and you can come back later to get a better score

Movement: A & D

Jump: W

Shoot: Space
