The sometimes "Pythonesque" Graphic style is definitely a Matter Of taste And not everyone likes it. The normal Gameplay, i.e. the Flight sequences, is a slightly more beautiful "Spaceinvader" and can be played through comfortably, especially when you have found out that the Weapon inventory Can be scrolled by "drag & drop ..." Annoying is the imprecise Control of the jump & run sections. The Mouse is definitely unsuitable here and makes the Controls spongy. All in all, a nice Game for in between.

The big problem here is boredom. But before that, there is the layout of the levels during the platform phases that is completely disoriented, with stories of bridges to progress on the background or foreground. Without relying on a movement with the mouse that is not ergonomic, the falls are frequent. Pair it with a reading of the chaotic level... And then there are phases of shoot them up during which we count seconds... Armed with a cardboard machine gun, even at the Max level. The enemies make us a remake of the attacks of the clones. As they say the mayonnaise did not take here.

Ballpoint universe is a very nice shoot'em up in a world of platforms (a bit a 2 in 1;)) I like this game first because it's a shoot'em up and it does it very well as well as for these graphics which my, for my part, seduced (paper style, drawing, collages...). I have not yet explored all the subtilitas of the game but I have already noticed the system of improvement of his ship which looks full and the presence of many characters in the map but of which I do not yet know all their usefulness. So I still have a lot of things to discover and understand and it's so much better;)! I advise!

Very big disappointment... Ballpoint universe was a game I was looking forward to. His unique graphic style had particularly attracted my attention to the Greenlight. The game is sadly spoiled by a certain monotony in the "shoot them up" part and by catastrophic controls in the "platform" section of the game. It is advisable to toggle between mouse and gamepad, but changing option every 3 seconds was far from something I expected to do to finish the game! Ballpoint universe is a game with huge potential, but its risky development has ruined all the fun of the splendid graphics.

If the basic idea of associating platform and shoot'em up may seem odd, it must be admitted that it finally works well. The steps on foot allow you to relax a little between two missions aboard your ship. The chosen graphic style brings to the game a totally new atmosphere. The variations in color make it possible to differentiate the zones and offer a good legibility. And it's rather amusing to see that by location the lines of the gridded sheet on which the sprites were drawn were kept. Sold at low prices, I really recommend it to players liking the shoot'em up.
