Product received for free 2 small Notes before the Review starts: The Game was provided to me by the Developer free of charge so that I can use it to produce my Let's Play, which would also be Note Number 2; Those who want to see moving Image click this Link, but of course beware: Spoiler Danger;)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hg9MBqWvgbY Bear With Me Is a classic Point & Click adventure by Croatian developer Exordium Games – and the Name (ex, lat. = from, ordium, lat. = ordinary ... Extraordinary!) Here's Program!
Who thinks a Game would be harmless just because the Protagonists named a 10-year-old Girl Named Amber and her Teddy Bear named Ted I. Bear, who has been missing widely.
I don't want to anticipate too much of the Story, of course, but the Game has managed to get me Knucked together as an absolute Fear Bunny once or 2 times. Of course, this doesn't have to mean anything for hard-edged horror players, especially since Bear With Me doesn't want to be a Horror at all, just a "Horror." However, even massive Pop Culture references ("Where's the Money, Lebowski?" She asked At the Toilet) and other Innuendo not too short – the developers, by the Way, don't always take themselves so seriously either.
In Terms of Graphics and Sound, Bear With Me puts a neat shoe on it (put it that way?). The Speakers do an excellent Job, especially our talking Bear manages to bring the noir feeling over perfectly as a Detective.
Of course, the Graphics are not to blame, after all, everything is kept in wonderfully monochrom-grey Color Palette ... Only red Stuff stands out. Good thing the Main Antagonist is the "Red Man."
Musically, everything blends perfectly into a round picture, the Music wonderfully reminiscent of the 40s or 50s, and the generally noir and detective-heavy Setting of Bear With Me.
The Control is just as easy, typical Point & Click. Sometimes a little fiddly, especially with smaller Objects, but we Adventurers don't know Anything about that anyway.
It is only the German Translation that occasionally turns up badly sour or seems unexpectedly funny.
Flashlight (i.e. "flashlight") becomes the Flash. Zeus still doesn't play, you still have a Flash in the Form of a Flashlight in the Inventory. Alternatively, the Measuring Cup also becomes a Mensur, and so on.
But that was forgiven for the indie studio, for still being able to draw on the successful Voiceover and graphic Aspects that made up the first of a total of 5 Episodes of Bear With Me.
If you have a Soft Spot for Steam Achievments, you, you also have it, and indeed at Hauf.
For my Part, I'm very excited to see how the Story about Amber and Ted I. (I christened him Ignatz) Bear in Paper City continues ... But we only learn this in 2-3 Monantas.
A total of 8/10 (who is interested in such Information) – good Adventure with very good Speech, appealing graphics and interesting Storyline. There are Deductions because of the German Translation and the sometimes somewhat frigmesty Controls.
Otherwise, it's worth looking in!
