The independent Studio Chainsawesome games, which brings together three young developers from Quebec City, impresses with its first game, a clever mix of rhythm and platform games. BeatBlasters III, which is in no way the third installment of a series, offers you to embody Joey or Gina, two music fans, who move around with their Walkman. Besides walking and jumping, they can use three special powers, allowing to fire their Blaster, emit a protective field, or hover over the ground. Each power is associated with a button and is illustrated by a power gauge with 100 units. To recharge each gauge, they will have to switch to concentration mode and press the power button to recharge by following a binary tempo. The management of our special powers is at the heart of the game and the majority of the game mechanics use each of the powers. Each table proposes a different challenge to accomplish, so we do not get tired, especially since the game is very pretty.
Positive points + neat Visual realization + very original game mechanics + lively music frame negative points-sometimes frustrating controls

Beat Blasters 3 is an Indie Music Game that is best described as a Rhythm game, because that's what this Game is all about keeping the Rhythm.
At the Beginning of the Game you can choose between a female Character and a male character, you don't see something like that that often today. After that, you are thrown into the Game after a small Introduction. The Story begins with the Character coming into another World and discovering special Forces of Music. Of course, with these new Forces, he must save the mysterious Country.
The Use of these Forces is explained in detail and very precisely, on the one Hand this is good, on the other Hand it quickly becomes boring because as a normal Video Player you understand the Controls much faster, this long Tutorial you can not skip and judge More like very inexperienced Players or very young Players, generally the Game makes more of the impression as if it's made for younger Players or Kids.
After the Tutorial you end up on the World Map and then you can play the individual Levels after the Series. These Levels are repeated from the Setup very quickly and it is not particularly difficult to master the Levels at their highest Level.
The only interesting thing is the Use of the Forces. In the Background you always hear a Beat and exactly with the Bass my Should press a Button, the more precisely you have pressed the button the More the energy Bar fills, with the Energy from the Energy Bar can then be thrown Fireballs or Protective Shields, for Example Create.
Beat Blasters 3 appeals mainly to younger Players through the Lineup and simple Game principle, but offers nothing at all for experienced Players. Since I was so bored after the first three Levels of this Game, there is therefore no Recommendation from me unless you know what you are getting into.
