Bestel (playtest)
About
Bestel is a dark fantasy platformer with souls-like elements created in GB Studio for the Game Boy Color. The name Bestel comes from the Late Cornish word for 'bile', hinting at the game's black humour.
This is a short playtest demonstrating the aesthetic and game mechanics.

Bestel was very much intended as a learning project; a way for me to get familiar with GB Studio while building a game, and I therefore wanted to use pre-existing stock assets wherever I could in order to save time. I have done my best to list all of the asset artists below:
