About

Welcome to the world of adventures!
You play as Jake, a simple guy who accidently got into trouble. What will happen to him, how he will behave, will he get home or not, all that depends on you. You will encounter a variety of creatures along your way, from roaches to huge scorpions, lizards and even small hamsters! Apart from living beings, you will see a variety of complex mechanisms. To overcome snow, forests, deserts and underground areas, you will require a good weapon. Though you already have that - a well-sharpened blade that will slice (almost) every monster.
The game requires you to plan every step, so that monsters won't have you for dinner. However, if you stand still, the monsters won't touch you. The "Hardcore" mode won't let you sleep, though, it will require your full attention.
If a friend of yours keeps bothering you, you can play a separate story about Jake and his brother together. You can walk through the same far-away places and see the same monsters, however, they will behave differently. If your friend gets lost, you will be able to show him where to go using the built-in chat and marker.
The game has an achievement system - try to unlock them all! If you want to stay in this unusual world, you can extend the fun with usermade levels that people just like you can build. Thanks to the convenient level download system, you won't be leaving the game for a long time.
 A brief history of development
The game was developed for the duration of five years, gradually improving. Different people contributed to the game and the development team changed over time. Some people worked on level design, some others did art. As of right now, the game has only one developer left: Vyacheslav "Silver Sword" Mironov. I have started this game and I have led it to its release.

Big Journey to Home reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from Russian
Well, then. Time to write a review on Big Journey to Home. Yesterday I played it for three and a half hours, and here are my thoughts about it all. The Light Sword Team has been working on this game for 5 years and it is their first "brainchild". As We all know, usually "the first pancake". In fact, this phrase can be applied in this case. So let's sort It out in order and start with the pros. The Genre of the game-turn-based puzzle (and to be more precise, it is puzzle), where each move-a second of real time. (unfortunately in the jigsaw puzzle, I did not play for my life, even the Portal did not bother to pass) you Move, move and enemies on the screen. In each room you need to do opredljonnye things, such as kill all enemies, or destroy the blocks that are in it. Quite interesting idea, and I generally first played in this type of game, and bored only to the end when stuck on one of the levels. Levels increase in complexity, so do not think to relax. The Next plus game is music. It was written specifically for the game, and even released separately on Steam. Each level-Different music, and you will not be much bored (of course if you do not me, and do not think long to pass the levels) and keep you at a pace. It is worth talking about the cons. The First and the most important minus-writing dialogues in the game. They are written not very literary, and it immediately catches the eye. I certainly understand that the main thing in the game is not the story, and solving puzzles, but still. I passed only 2 and a half of the level of 12, and during this time was not seen any jokes, but only a lot of poorly designed proposals. I think I should work on it, at least on the grammatical component. The Next minus is the graphics and design. So far I can not understand why in the upper left corner of the character's portrait, it does not change, does not blinking and does nothing. Enemies are very small and sometimes merge with the external environment (and yes for 3 levels, I saw only 2 types of cockroaches, which speaks of some monotony) and have to strain to see everything. The Animation is repetitive, and sometimes even cuts the eyes (eg rain). I, as a dilettante in puzzles, expected more dynamics and action. Also in the game there are bugs. While Some things did not work (eg titles and hardcore mode), but I think the next patch will fix it. In The game there is still a cooperative mode, which I did not check, but in it you can join with the companion to pass other puzzles unrelated to the plot. In General, the game even slightly hooked me, but not all 100%, as I did not play in this genre of games. But I think fans of puzzles she really like, they will find something new and interesting. P. S 5/10.
