Black Body

Made with Godot 3.2.2

A juicy arcade like bullet hell shooter around a black hole inspired by Galaga and Gravity Ace (by John Watson https://jotson.itch.io/gravity) This is my first game ever!  I didn't get to do nearly as much as I would have liked, but I learned a lot and had a lot of fun.  Please leave some constructive feedback.  I had no playtesters, so I don't know where the game's difficulty curve lies.  

Didn't get around to JSON or leaderboards, so please POST YOUR HIGHSCORES BELOW! My Current Best is 4622!

*******KNOWN BUGS: (can't fix because jam) ****** PLEASE READ!!!! ****

1.  No Enemies on restart.  (the game counts how many enemies are alive, but when you die it doesnt restart the count to 0 so each play back you will get less and less, just reload the page to circumvent this)********

2. Lag (caused by an issue I found with how I was instancing some classes, fixed but can't upload)

******HOW TO PLAY******

WASD/ or arrow keys for movement.  Movement is relative to the ship. left goes to the ship's left, right to your ship's right, etc.  Space bar is shoot.  Movement is a little tricky, but once you get the hang of it its super fun!

TRY USING BOTH THE UP AND LEFT/RIGHT KEYS AT THE SAME TIME for a smooth wrap around the circle.  using just left/right will cause your centripetal force to pull you outwards!

Last as long as you can!  This game rewards chaining multikills together with a multiplier in the top right corner.  Touch the black hole and you die.  Collectable Power ups will float towards the black hole from the void, simply fly through them to pick them up.  Don't let them touch the black hole!
