BoxesWithGuns
About
BoxesWithGuns is a 2D neon vertex endless shooter game. Try to survive as long as possible by avoiding collisions with the enemies that spawn. One game equals the length of the background music track playing. Collect dollars and customize your spaceship by adding new boxes and weapons. Upgrade existing weapons to increase your chances of survival. For temporary boosts, power ups spawn randomly.
Based on the current music playing in the background, the attached weapon systems get enabled or disabled. The blur and bloom effects and pixel destruction are influenced by the music as well.

Product received for free Mierd. to pure. A box that has to kill other smaller boxes to go growing and kill more boxes yet, super original hear. A horrific interface, with colors that will leave you blind, a dubstep music that looks like you're in an after at 8 in the morning on a Sunday. Totally dispensable.
And I do not forget, if you suffer from epilepsy, do not even think to play, warned you stay.

After 10 minutes of playing this I have needed to play a little Beat Hazard to clarify the view. There Is a line where luminous flashes go from visual effects to visual flaws, and this game goes beyond that line, kicks and defecates in it.
Whether Jugablemente is mediocre doesn't help. It'S The typical game we've seen a thousand times before: You're a box that shoots; Kill enemies to get money and improve and expand your box to be able to kill more enemies and be able to improve and expand your box more. However, progress is very slow, and the interface is too confusing and lacking in the relevant information. All this manages to make the execution of a simple game concept fail.

The Idea behind the Game itself is good: Soak out, soak up "Enemies," upgrade (by magnifying yourself and buying Weapons to do so or upgrade existing Weapons) and storm into the next Level.
However, I can't recommend the Game, because even after a relatively short Playing Time (about 10 Minutes), the Malaise steadily increases in me (as a relatively healthy and fit Person). I don't have Epilepsy (and I don't have an Epileptic in the Kind-/. Friends/or Acquaintances), but the Worry that the Game can evoke something like this is enormous after all.
I also understand that the Developer has created and loves "his Vision" with the current State of the Game. Still, I felt the whole Game more pleasurable if it were less garishy-colorful.

BoxesWithGuns takes two ideas exploited in the indie scene, the Twin Sticks Shooters and the neon aesthetic of the 80, and works badly. The game is no more challenging or exciting than other already known titles of the genre, being rather an average experience that falls into the heap of imitations without great appeal. The visual aspect is ugly and confusing, to the point of causing dizziness and discomfort with this overflow of colors without care or attention. You Just can't create a video game with stage backgrounds in constant motion as a group of elements appears and moves over with equal intensity of contrasts and colors as the stage. Everything is summed up in a soup made of colors that do not stick or fit.
If You like vomiting, you might like it.
