Want to push my buttons?

This game was developed in approximately 2.5 weeks as a submission to the Github Game Off 2022 jam.

DISCLAIMER: Save/load does not work in every browser,  it does work fine in the downloadable windows build.

Sadly due to an arm injury I got late October I've reached the point where I'm unable to do any more work on the jam version - so for now I'll unfortunately have to skip a tutorial/world 2 content. Controls/explanations can be found further down and I hope you have a great time with world 1, nonetheless! <3

Button Warrior

Buttonman has always been insecure about his oversized head. The bullying definitely doesn't help. While he's loved and appreciated by many in his town, these insecurities have really been pushing his buttons. Now he wants to go on a journey of self-care. A journey that'll raise his morale. An epic journey, that'll push him to self-improvement. A magical journey through the Mellow Meadows, the Dusty Deserts, the Frigid Frostlands, and the Molten Mountains. Gaining strength while killing the most dangerous monsters known to Button Kingdom, defeating his childhood bullies as he goes. And all he shall bring, is a sword, a shield, his buttons, and a GREAT sense of rhythm! Help Buttonman succeed by clicking him through the many challenges he'll face. Good luck!

Controls:

Click the gold button to gain gold.

Swipe the other buttons in the corresponding direction to use moves at the appropriate time.

Buy price-increasing buttons from the button-shop to fight against bad RNG.

Double tap the double tap button to lower the cost of the button-shop.

Do all of this on the beat to get a streak, for each specific streak you will gain a random, free, button! It's okay to skip a beat; just don't click off-beat!
