This is more a review of how the game itself runs on a 2012 Macbook pro (because at the time of this writing, it's not officially supported), so I'm basing the grade on how well Call Of Duty performs.
I've got a 2012 Macbook Pro, 650M, i7, 4 gigs of ram. Usually I should run this game just fine, but the campaign is a bit of a mess. I haven't spent much time with it, but from what I've experienced, it does slow down noticeably, when there are more things going on. It's obvious that this is a problem with the game itself, and not the hardware, as turning up and down every single setting, does nearly nothing in terms of framerate (what I'm saying is, it's visible that Black Ops is not supported on my Mac).
However, Multiplayer does actually run quite well. I can be proud to say that it's running a smooth 30-60 fps when doing good, however, at game start it usually drags down to 5-15 for a couple of seconds. It's not much, but it does happen sometimes, and it can be frustrating, if you're doing good.
So if you have a Macbook like mine, I suggest you try it, if you really want to play the game. It runs decently, not perfectly, but manageable without losing too much of what makes it look good.
Gets 3 stars for the performance. Able to run with nearly max settings, but does have some noticeably lag issues sometimes, that costs it 2 stars.
