Cally's Trials
About
It's time for Cally to do what she does best: rescuing her kidnapped parents!
Set before the events of Cally's Caves 3, Cally's Trials is a roguelike action-platformer with a weapon-levelling system that lets you evolve weapons as you use them. Cally must save her parents from the maniacal Herbert, who has laid waste to the Caves and built a massive lair deep inside.
Herbert's experiments have twisted the caves into a living nightmare, and our plucky six-year-old heroine must overcome staggering odds:
Cally's Trials is a mix of roguelike and RPG, with a "Level Up Everything" sensibility. Witness the beginning of Cally's journey from average 6-year-old girl, to fearless warrior and Conqueror of the Caves!

I've seen Cally's Caves 3 on Steam and thought I've been doing the other Parts ... And that was a GREAT FEHLER! Since I now own Cally's Caves 3, I can say That Cally's Trials feels more like a Worse Version of the Successor and it's not really recommended! Get the Successor! This is an Update without being an update if you understand. I give the Game 4/10 as it is partly Fun, but you get to every Death (I believe random) either at the Beginning of the Room, or GANZ comes in at the Beginning and other Reasons and the Nerve af. I hope I was able to help.

-Graphics of another age (even for this "style")-gameplay without flavor and full of imperfections (a shotgun that pulls like an m4? Logical).
-A very small number of different enemies-a completely Strawberry AI (Hello bats that react once in ten)-completely useless bosses (style a bear that you can kill from a place where it doesn't even touch us, Waw)-a "die & retry" system more frustrating than anything else, especially that the game is too easy to lend itself to this mechanics-no menu, no options, no joystick recognition on XBOX controllers (obliged to play on the cross) there is not much positive thing , all this could have been much better brought to make it a decent game. Damage.

Fans of "Cally's Caves 3" Will unfortunately be extremely disappointed here!
People who didn't play the previous Part are significantly better off at Cally's Trials ...
Why? Almost the same Opponents (only partially different Optics). The same Weapons that can also ascend Steps, but only Up to level 10 instead of 20. Nothing to collect, in Cally's Cave 3 there was quite a bit to Search for like Diaries. The Boss Fights are unfortunately also the same (only different Optics!). The Achievements relate only to killed opponents, no Bosses, etc. The Story is Also the same, it is even said at the Beginning. Spoiler: My Parents were kidnapped again by the same Boss.
What has also been done badly here is the Checkpoint System. Or the non-existent Checkpoint System. That means you have to play through a Chapter completely alive, otherwise you start again at the Beginning! -.-Luckily, there is one starting Point per Chapter to buy at the Shop, otherwise you are always at Chapter 1, even if you were already in the fourth. Of Course, there are also reusable Repawn Parts where you can respawn again when you have died, but the "System" does not get out of here. I have also encountered Light Bugs such as hanging in the Air or Wall. The Levels were unfortunately made partially loveless, as several Opponent Types clap to one Point and left and right nothing else.
Cally's Trials has appeared just 4 Months after Cally's Caves 3 and is certainly almost the same and even makes Stuff worse. Unfortunately, this makes it pointless from Fans of the other Part! But People who don't know the Mentioned part find a pretty good Game here with a Rogue Like System.
