About

Solve tricky puzzles in a world full of mysterious secrets. Make steampunk styled flowers bloom using the power of light rays to unveil new worlds. In a relaxed, no pressure environment players immerse themselves into this beautifully designed virtual reality.

Guide and adjust the light rays, change their colors to match the flowers, use mirrors, prisms, magnets, teleporters and more to direct them to where they need to be.

Carpe Lucem challenges and entertains players by transferring classical 2D puzzles into the virtual space. They learn new fascinating aspects quickly. Now puzzle elements can be moved literally in the third dimension. But not only that: They can also be arranged 360 degrees all around the player. Sounds simple but it creates a whole new way of interacting and playing mind teasing puzzle games and it is indeed a perfect introduction to Virtual Reality.

Amazing environments and a beautiful soundtrack paired with interesting puzzles. It's nice that there's no time limit, so there's enough time to actually look at this well crafted fantasy world (with occasional whale photobombing ;) ). The puzzles are well done aswell, they get kinda tricky in later levels, but it's nothing unsolvable. Great title! Kudos to the devs!

Really like the artstyle and the music. It's really good for people who are very new to VR. I showed it to my girlfriend, who's not very interested in videogames and she enjoyed it very much and couldn't get enough. So thumbs up for the devs! You want a charming and relaxing game where you really need to use your brain and celebrate your progress Puzzle by Puzzle? Carpe Lucem is the right game to go! More of this PLZ!!!!

A nice VR puzzle game for In Between. No Motion Sickness And therefore intended for VR Beginners. Puzzles become quite challenging with time! Graphically well managed. Price is ok! A really nice Game that you can easily recommend the Design of the Game Elements reminds a little of Steampunk, the Music fits well and the Background (with a little Story) does not distract, but invites you to contemplate relaxing atmosphere, no Time Pressure There is Unfortunately only 27 Levels where some (1/4?) act as Tutorial and are quickly solved, more than 2-3h you don't really need to play through everything overall (so you should classify it a bit and enjoy it). But there is an Editor, Community function (Workshop) and the Developer has announced more Levels. "... More are in The works and are expected to be completed in the fourth Quarter of 2016 ... " If I use it with Grav | Lab (which is similarly stored) Compare Carpe Lucem almost looks like a small Work of art, all together is more than the Sum of the Parts. Grav | Lab has a much cooler, more technical and less relaxing effect (but seems to have more playable Content). You can also download a Demo From Carpe Lucem, a real Plus that many Titles unfortunately don't offer, thanks to Hammer Labs and ASH. I have not regretted the €153, as there are considerably more titles in the Vive VR area that have a worse price/performance ratio, for me personally up to 10/2016 in the Top 10 VR Titles
