About

Featuring three modes of play (story, versus and survival) the game can be enjoyed individually or as a multiplayer. With more than 50 levels of randomized gameplay in story mode, you will never play the same game twice. You control an engineer, rather than the blocks themselves, creating a unique gameplay experience. Engineers must match three or more blocks of tools or colors in order to achieve each level’s goals. The 7x7 grid allows engineers to move around the perimeter of the central 5x5 grid where blocks fall from above. Snow, wind, fog, and storms challenge the engineers as they work non-stop through day and night. All the while King Edmund’s minions, equipped with menacing machinery, are bent on orchestrating the tower's demise.

Castles tells the story of the ambitious King Harold, whose greatest achievement will be the tower you are constructing. As the tower grows taller and taller, more and more challenges arise along with it. Unpredictable weather combined with the efforts of the jealous and vengeful King Edmund, King Harold’s nemesis, may thwart your upward progress.

Castles reviews and comments

Castles is one of those puzzle games that consist of moving blocks falling, placing them sorted by color/type to make them disappear and accumulate points. However, this concept is given an interesting turn of the nut making that we do not control directly the pieces, but a character that has to go pushing and pulling them. The idea is very good and works great, especially because the game supports two-player cooperative games. It'S A lot more fun like this. We Can make the blocks disappear by joining three or more of them that are the same color or have the same cartoon on the top face. If We charge more than three, we are rewarded with objects that make life easier, like a hammer or an explosive barrel to destroy the blocks. In The default game mode, we are asked for certain requirements to be able to pass level (destroys X green blocks, destroys X blocks with the cartoon of the Saw, etc.). As you exceed levels, heads of difficulty ascending are appearing. In these cases, the conditions of victory will change, and we'll have to discover them In order to beat every boss. There is Also a mode of survival in which you simply have to endure everything you can before you die. I think it's a good puzzle game. Simple, addictive and with a very nice graphic section. In my case, the only one but it would be its excessively high difficulty, although, depending on the player, that could also be a positive point. The Same is that I am very bad, but I was literally two hours of clock trying to pass the third boss, and I had to finish leaving for impossible.

As I know that the comments and all the feedback we give here, the developers are going to read it and I know one of them, I will be totally honest: Castles is a mix of games, as if Bomberman had met The Binding of ISAAC , ie fun and addictive (and a little troll you'll see) but something unfair to the player because of the random part of the game. It Hooks enough for its simple mecácnicas and it is easy to spend hours playing, especially having multiplayer. Unfortunately for me and although the requirements of the game are minimal (and my laptop passes the recommended), I'm not fluent and it becomes difficult to play converting the movement of the character into something little precise and coarse that makes me jump blocks to turn , moving the one that doesn't touch. I Think the game lacks sounds. When you play practically only listen to the music in the background and could not use something variety that, although it is funny to listen at first, the time tires a bit. Besides, personally I would like the music to reduce the volume a little by giving the menus. When playing with keyboard, during the game the button indicators are displayed with the symbols of the Xbox command and not with the corresponding keys of the keyboard. It Does Not have mouse support in the menus, which is not a problem, but Incorda a little. Survival mode I've found absurdly difficult. The blocks fall randomly at an almost absurd speed which would understand if at least you saw (as in the Tetris) the pieces that are going to fall in advance so that you time to think your next move, your builder moved faster or the board was more S big. Despite the inconvenience, (easily solvable with a future patch or two) I think the game has come out round and entertaining with a funny story and striking graphics. Ideal to kill those dull Sunday afternoons. ! I Hope that in the future fix things and that for the love of whoever is up there, improve the optimization of the game! Enjoy!
