Basically an interesting indie game of a new development studio from Switzerland.
The atmospheric music as well as the very simple yet appealing 2D retro pixel graphics lead to a retro ambiente-mix, a little like in terraria, a little like zelda as well as in some way like in ultima. Graphically kept, however, simpler and not quite on the heights previously named games.
Technically as well as playfully, the game (still) has some gaps that significantly cloud the gaming experience.
Quests and directions away are defined quite unclear. It may well happen that you are stuck in a level because it is not clear how to get out of a bagging gassse weider. Unfortunately, most of the levels still lead to bagging ends.
zbsp. Tips then appear like "use eiszauber." Unfortunately, the magic is missing in the inventar or it is not clear how this should help me in the level-sac, as I do not have any ingredients for the zenegazing. Here I wished for something more logical away, or mis-tips.
There is still to be a need to work on the control with awsd. One often misses the level platforms because the character gets stuck on other objects. As a result, the combat system is very sluggish and limited to simple base movements. Even an accurate jump and run feeling can not even arise, as the uprecise and sluggish control inevitably leads to frustmomentary moments.
The fights are basically limited only to simple, primitive basic movement sequences: Simply press the attack button in the correct time and hope that the opponent lights up red. Here you can note to the game that the manufacturers still have little experience in the production of jump and runs.
The levels are to be classified from the very beginning as extremely difficult food. There are numerous jump and runs to which one could take a look and example of how to design the levels in a sequential way in the beginning and more and more difficult. But in cendric, the player is presented from the very beginning. Here, levedesign still needs to happen technically soon.
It will certainly be interesting to observe whether the game manufacturers will stay tuned in the near future in the game design and continuously improve the game, because the competition (also free), especially on steam or itch.io, is really huge. What makes that overlooked by base puntors in paid games like cendric doesn't really make it any easier for the buyer. For the time being, why I have requested a refund of the money. The game, like many others, will put it on my team watch list for now. For now, I don't want to spend money on it. Sorry.
