Deadbutante

When a mage turns sixteen, it is tradition for them to publicly announce to the world what branch of magic they will enter a study of. As the heiress of a particularly wealthy family, for Lethe this means a debut party inviting the most powerful mages in the region. It's a little nerve-wracking, and there's a lot to prepare for, but at least she has one thing figured out: the answer to the "big" question. Obviously, she wants to follow her family tradition of necromancy.

But as the guests arrive, they present young Lethe with some...interesting questions.  Just what will she use her powers of necromancy for?

Deadbutante is a short visual novel made for the Nanoreno19 game jam.  It's not perfect, in fact I'd say it's missing a lot because of how much I had to cut in order to even get it done in the time that I did, but I learned quite a bit about my own process and workflow, so next time, I'm aiming to get in my the deadline for sure :D
