Death Hunt About The Game

The Game Is a bit puzzles, a bit platforming, mixed with a good story, metroidvania elements and some humor. You are but a humble human who is helping DEATH get stronger, by finding new and exciting ways to die.

A game created for the gamedev.tv 2022 game jam!

Controls Keyboard:

• WASD / Arrows To Move And Jump.
• Spacebar to jump.
• Enter to continue dialog / pause / unpause game.
• E - pick up item.
• Q - drop item.
• R - use item.
• F- eat item.

controller:

(tested on ps4 controller using no external application)

• Left joystick to move.
• Right shoulder button to jump.
• Start/options button to continue dialog / pause / unpause game.

Buttons:

• North - eat
• East - put down
• South - pick up
• West - use

-----HINTS AND SPOILERS-----

I am writing these hints because I think the game might be too hard. I would love to hear what and where you got stuck to improve it!

• Hint: try and experiment with every button on every object. you will start to learn how to use them.
• Hint 2: try visiting old places., with or without new items.
• Hint 3: Read The Signs.
• Hint 4: Almost every death from a certain item gives you a new way to get another death. Example: picking up the bee will kill you, but now you can find the strawberry after picking up the bee again :)

----Section 1----

Deaths:

1.  Pick up the bee
2.  Pick up the bee, and then the strawberry. Eat the strawberry 3 times.
3.  Take the strawberry to the bird and use it
4.  Fall to the wooden area from high enough.

You now have the double jump ability.

----Section 2----

Go back to the prison area and jump up the side.

1. touch the saw
2. eat the saw
3. jump to the roof of the prison (it looks like you got out of the map). it is a hard jump, but it's possible)

Go to the green area.

climb to the top and die 3 times trying.

At 10 deaths You have the cannon.

----Section 3----

1. eat the cannon
2. use the cannon to kill the bird, and eat the mushroom.
3. go to the green part and climb all the way again with the cannon. use the cannon in the highest platform.

climb to the pink area and go to the left to the sinking sand. jump down to the weird section and die.

come back there and jump again to reveal the secret area and die from the spikes.

At 15 Deaths You Reach Your Husband

----Section 4----

pink area:

go to the candles and use them to light them up.

return to the candles to eat the fire and die again from them.

use the bomb and die.

and finally, don't touch the keyboard for 15 seconds and die from AFK :)

At 20 Deaths You Get The Cannon Upgrade.

To get the true ending you need to use the upgraded cannon.

pickup the cannon upgrade, and go to the aliens. kill them with the cannon and then use the cannon in any place in the map to watch the true ending.
