Demon Hunter: Chronicles from Beyond
About
Demon Hunter: Chronicles from Beyond is a thrilling tale set in 1930s America. The game tells the story of Dawn Harlock, an unusual red-eyed woman, who must return to her family estate on Iowa Island to investigate the mysterious death of her mentor, Professor Ashmore. It’s not long before Dawn discovers traces of horrifying experiments and has to come face to face with an ancient evil from another world.
During the investigation, our protagonist begins to suspect that someone, or something, has crossed over into our world from another dimension and that her own mysterious past plays a large role in these disturbing events.
Dawn will have to unearth the secrets lurking within a gloomy mansion, unravel the mystery of a grotesque experiment and find out what really happened all those years ago, when Professor Ashmore found her wandering aimlessly across the island.
Will Dawn’s true identity prove to be the key to defeating the ancient evil from another dimension?

First episode of the Demon Hunter series, this hidden object game is one of the first achievements of the Serbian Studio brave giant, specialized in this genre, to which one owes also the series Queen's quest. The two series released their 4th episode at the beginning 2018 and are still edited by artifex Mundi.
Screenplay Prof. Ashmore was murdered in his Iowa Island residence while conducting experiments on what appeared to be dimensional portals. His assistant Alexander VOR has disappeared and is logically designated as a suspect.
Dawn Harlock, the heroine of the game, was collected and raised by Ashmore and decides to find the culprit.
The case will quickly take a supernatural turn and interrogate dawn on her own identity.
A short bonus chapter, excessively composed of SOC, extends a little adventure gameplay a little exploration, many SOC, very usual and fairly easy mini-games, objects to use in the right way, an inventory and a system of help: one is really in the most classic form of hidden object games.
Small particularity, some objects that one must find in the SOC change their appearance to complicate a little their localization.
Artistic direction some environments are acceptable but the SOC are frankly ugly and the animations are generally very cheap.
Technical aspects the game is really not very ambitious on this plan and even if we have seen much worse in the genre and there is no bug to report.
On the other hand, there are still many examples of wacky French translation, especially in SOC.
Final evaluation it is perhaps the first game of the Studio brave giant that has made several much better than that since, it is still quite disappointing to find a game of such mediocre quality at artifex Mundi.
Apart from the fact that it impresses neither technically nor artistically, it does not bring anything original either in the script or in the puzzles.
So we find mini-games seen and reviewed and we find ourselves right from the start to have to have a broom to clean a small Spider Web (because we obviously dare not to put your hand in while we are ready to save mankind), to have to look for oil because there is a rusty thing that sticks (while even the salad can be eaten without oil), to have to rely on the umpteenth providential presser foot (but that we find clever to transfer from our inventory after a single use), to have to make a small derisory service to a passer-by who has nothing else to do but to stay stuck waiting for us before we can try to save the world.
And then this scenario that is absolutely not exploited and that is easily forgotten very quickly during the game both the heroine and the NPC lacks personality, charisma and depth.
So good, I put a blue thumb anyway because the title is nothing completely distasteful and it will be suitable for the enthusiasts of the genre where to those who would like to do the whole series from the beginning. It takes less than 4H to complete the entire game, including bonus chapter, without help. To be taken nevertheless on sale at-70% or in case of a good offer for the bundle.

Nice. Adequate Difficulties, sometimes you need help, but not too much. To correct some hidden objects that appear as a multicolored patch.

Liquid Game, good Graphics.
Card and Help with it. Unfortunately, the latter says goodbye in the Free Section, which keeps me from Buying. Otherwise, though, the Game makes a good Impression.

Nice game though a little short. The translation leaves to be desired and it can complicate the search for objects when you are not looking for the right object... grammar and spelling mistakes.

A very good game that takes the player very quickly.
See too quickly because in less than 4H it is finished with a final sloppy.
Pity a good quality of realization but we remain totally on his hunger (end).

Nn I like and you do not understand almost nothing if nn there are suggestions that after a while you abandon even those. You have to have a hidden object view but also those who have the challenge to find everything without suggestions. They could make a better game.

All available what you want. Nevertheless, only three Stars because, for example, the tip Function does not work, almost only WBS and then still the same. There are too few good Tasks. Too Bad, but the subsequent Games from the series are many times better.

Fun hidden Object game, with an alternating number of puzzles to solve. The puzzles can also be skipped, so no chance of frustration because you are stuck on a puzzle. There is Also a handy opportunity to visit locations via a folder soon, but you can navigate to it if you prefer. The game gives a nice number of hours of game fun, and the "open" end promises a sequel 👍🏻

You learn that the professor who found you as an infant and took care of you, has been killed in mysterious circumstances. Now you want to find out what has happened. Soon you Will encounter oddities that seem to emanate from demonic forces. Should you manage To stop them? And at the same time find out who you are?
In The bonus game you are in a coma after the showdown with the demon in the main adventure. Now you must survive the Demonstyrda (MAR) Dream you find yourself in and try to awaken yourself.
Game, a little different music. Pretty Simple puzzle. Decent length of the main game. Relatively short, but pithy bonus game.
Promising for the continuations.
