Devouring Stars
About
There are so many games set in space, willingly limiting their scope to new instances of Star Wars-style ships, blasters and myths. Devouring Stars is an attempt at expanding the horizon of "celestial" games, focusing on the eerie beauty and poetry of distant stars, blackholes and mysterious corners of our universe.
What if you could litterally unhook the stars? What if you could be a galactic-sized entity?
In Devouring Stars you play a tribe of godlike entities trapped in Tartarus, a corner of the universe as far beneath hell as heaven is high above the earth. Hunted by 4 other tribes, you have been given the ability to draw your own fate. But to what extent?
Devouring Stars uses a couple of unique mechanics to create a different experience on the RTS and space exploration genre. Your entities have the ability to "devour" starfields, creating dynamic nebulas that will protect them. There's no tech tree or building facilities in Devouring Stars: your entities are able to merge in order to create advanced units with special abilities. Depending on the set of entities you start the game with, you will be able to go for different strategies that will evolve during the game.
Devouring Stars is mainly inspired by Dan Simmons' Illium but also by games like Homeworld, Eufloria, Starcraft or Faster Than Light.FEATURES

A good game although a bit pricey for its content but I am facing a bug: I had not played since 4/5 months and when I restarted the game, the upper half of the screen was found below and the lower part has likely disappeared. It's a display problem only because the buttons back, play, etc are in the basic places even if their sprite is shifted but it prevents me from playing because I see only part of the screen

Although interesting as a concept, this game is too short, too easy to finish. One would expect more with the concept of departure, but finally the game is very passive and unstimulating. The music, on which the developers seem to have put a lot of emphasis (they offer a pack for buying the tracks), is not excellent and harms the immersive aspect that could have been better exploited. In the end, this game represents a good idea poorly realized. For such a small game, the price is too high.

Very enjoyable a RTS to the concept not quite new but beautiful and poetic. Plus the soundtrack and really beautiful and relaxing see exhilarating at times. Basically 4 types of base unit that can merge for 6 weak units then 6 new intermediate units and finally 3 powerful units in sum 15 different units each possessing a unique skill. For those who still looking for a little challenge never flee a chaos this unit rolls on absolutely everything in all the battlefields and as you keep all the units that are not dead you can easily finish the games just with your first chaos.

This game is just Wow, the game is beautiful in itself, the sounds are captivating a pretty interesting story at the beginning but repetitive after having spent the first color all over again is heavy we discover nothing and we take away what we won, if I had to give advice to authors: complicate the solo, add colors in the progression of the solo, add cash to the players but also put little more diversity in the corrupted stars the best moments are those or is lost in space and that one falls on these strange things that you have to beat by reflecting a good time but for now the campaign is easy on the black hole.
By changing everything I say I hope it would revive the multiplayer that I have not known ELAs.
