Early access review OK the scenery is ugly, but it's secondary because all our attention focuses on the signals and the controls. Here, no powder in your eyes, it's not that kind of game.
A train is a bit like a rail liner: you have to anticipate and that is the pleasure of the game.
Being on time respecting the limitations and making precise stops, it's super hot and Super enjoyable as the atmosphere is successful and the controls are simple and logical.
I think it will do me a lot of practice before I pass a ride without sweat with big ghouts:)
In this connection, a "restart" button would be good.
Read the other evals to give you a more precise idea, but personally, I can only advise you this purchase.

Early access review at the time of writing of this notice (April 12, 2018), the game is far from complete (early access), so it is impossible to issue a definitive evaluation. But I have already spent six hours, which is very good sign.
You drive trains of two to six cars, carried by diesel locomotives (five different models, but with almost identical operation), and this on two lines (really long: up to two hours to make a line), making more or less According to the timetable and the type of service. Not counting returns to deposits, and departures from it.
The physical behavior of the train seems to me very realistic and makes the handling of the train very pleasant (which does not necessarily mean that the driving is easy). The "Simulator" (realistic) mode controls are really not out of range, unlike other simulators: there are not dozens and dozens of keys to learn. And there is an ingame tutorial. There is also a simplified (non-realistic) way of driving using two-three keys, but given the accessibility of the other, I hardly see the interest;).
One does not get bored (as long as we love the train driving, obviously!), there is a certain replayability thanks to the diversity of services/paths possible. But, in my opinion, not enough to play for more than 10 hours — for now.
The graphics are of inferior quality to what we find in 3D games in our time, but they remain correct. [Edit from 1/06/2018: the graphics have been improved, especially the shaders, and are much nicer.]
Some elements (this is not exhaustive) that are currently lacking in the game to win again in replayability, and to enrich the gameplay: – decorations with improved graphics, and with more elements and diversity (already foreseen by the dev);
– more signage, better thought (idem);
– adjustments in the calculation of the scores at the end of each trip (idem);
– a new line;
– the possibility of opening and closing the doors, once at the stop in a station.
In conclusion: very promising game, very carried simulation (realistic, therefore) but quite accessible, centered on a well defined period (sixties in the UK; forget the TGV!).
