Discover (pikube)

The player has to navigate through a 2D gridded terrain using the arrow keys. Each keystroke will move the player from one tile to another adjacent tile. Landing on it will reveal how much mines are present in the direct neighboring of each individual adjacent tile to the one they just landed on,  (also counting the case itself). If the player lands on a mine, they lose. If they land on the finish line, they win. 

What makes this game correspond to the notion of “Discovery” is that the player has to expand their territory to win,  by dis-covering hidden regions.
