About

Distorted Reality is a first-person survival horror, which takes place in the hospital of Alexandria. For mysterious reasons, the usual laws of physics in the hospital completely stopped working. The flow of time stopped for everyone except the protagonist ... and a mysterious creature wandering around the hospital and devouring souls of those who stuck in the space-time loop...

The protagonist wakes up in a small room that served as a warehouse of medicines. He discovers that the whole hospital is frozen, and the space-time continuum around him is looped. To break the loop of space and open new locations, he needs to solve puzzles. To break the loop of time and to reach the end, it is necessary to find all 8 records of the scientist, which are scattered around the hospital. But be careful, any interaction with the outside world gives out your location...

Distorted Reality reviews and comments

I do not understand how games like that can be on steam. 1) Opening the app there is no menu and you are thrown into the game by seeing something, but without understanding anything. 2) The video settings are automatic and do not try to change them (for example, set the 1920x1080) or you will also be unable to exit the menu. 3) The duration is ridiculous. You don't even have time to immerse yourself in the atmosphere that's already over. 4) The batteries for the torches are very few. And also some will not be able to take them. 5) The graphics that at first glance looks pretty, after 20 seconds of play you know that is the worst part. Lights that come from nothing, scissors that hover in the air preventing you from passing, not to mention the light of the torch which, as soon as you move, will change in a way each time unique. Horrible. Positive aspects considering everything, there are also positive aspects, the first but not in importance is that arrived at some point you dive almost into the atmosphere of the game. The second corresponds to the third point already treated, or fortunately lasts little because it is for 90% of the time very heavy.

A beautiful catch-nigaud of a level afflicting dishonesty. You see all the crap that has been on steam for over a year already? Tell yourself that all of this is even less damaging than the affront we have shown this scam sold at €5. I'll make it simple: 80% of the content of the store is misleading to the highest point. The hospital is a simple asset of the UE4, basically a level which is made the tour in a good fifteen minutes max; a demo in sum. The vast majority of screenshots of the store do not come from the game and the environments presented do not even exist; Likewise, they were clearly retouched because the game is much uglier than what we present there (in addition to that, distorted reality is very poorly optimized, I barely reach 30FPS with a map running Tomb Raider in very good parameters and without penalty). There is no enemy in this game "horror", not even the one shown in these few screenshots of the store. Finally, the temporal anomalies and scientific records described in the game description are not present. ALL OF THIS IS SIMPLY DUMMY. In 15 minutes of play, so I went round the level, recovered 10 blueprints that turned out to have no use, harvested piles to keep my flashlight lit, and searched in vain for a trigger or script element that could have made me progress. No, nothing, Nada, absolute nothingness. Looking back, this shameful scam attempt finally deserves the tag "horror". Did you like this evaluation? Find others by joining our editorial group: purging.
