Distrust reviews

It's a bit too repetitious (and hard) the ambiance "the thing" is well restored, there are quite a few characters to unlock, the gameplay basics roll well. And then it's pretty anyway. Good choice of colors. But here, even if the goal to activate the output is renewed, we do a little always the same in all areas: unlock the doors, search the drawers, repair stuff, balance the counters cold/energy/food, flee the appearances since it is basically impossible to confront them... There are few real tactical choices to make. Restarting a game with other characters gives you different bonuses but does not offer additional actions/enemies/goals; all the runs are alike and we get tired fast. In addition the difficulty is still high, and you can not unlock most of the characters in easy mode. Try the game occasionally if it has typed you in the eye, we do not spend a bad time, but it does not fit on the length.

After 34 hours of play, I can say the following things: Yes, I play is frustrating (I agree there the reviews of Twolinks whose evaluation is on this page), terribly frustrating... for reasons inherent in this type of game! 34 hours and I only managed to reach in zone 3 only a dozen times, which is little, I think, even in difficulty "high". You have to be persistent to continue. Because your characters are going to die again and again. At first because you will discover the game, its mechanisms and its workings (and that the error does not forgive); then because, in addition to areas whose configuration changes with each test (impossible, therefore, to scaffolder any strategy), there is a system of random event (stack or face, the meal that a character prepares is imedible, pile or face, impossible to sleep, etc.) that can add a form of misfortune to an already painful experience. Die and retry? That's exactly what it is. As far as packaging is concerned, I really like the style of transition drawings. In the game itself, it is very beautiful also and rather fluid. The music is extremely successful, although repetitive, it remains a vector of non-negligible atmosphere and manages to recall the film of Carpenter! Each character has a distinct advantage in addition to the characteristics for which a thoughtful choice must be made. They all have a (mini) story to justify this, it gives them a bit of consistency. Finally, the gameplay seems excellent, it took me very little time to familiarize myself with everything and the tutorial was very effective for that purpose. In a Word as in a hundred, I really like this game even if I have never weighed so much... against myself. It is for these two reasons that I recommend it, if I enraged it is good because the game seems to me difficult and that it asks to go to seek in itself the resources to confront the nature seemingly unfair. A real game, in short.
