Eclipse: New Dawn for the Galaxy
About
AN ADAPTATION OF A CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED BOARD GAMEBackground
Alliances are shattering, and hasty diplomatic treaties are made in secrecy. A confrontation of the superpowers seems inevitable – only the outcome of the galactic conflict remains to be seen. Which faction will emerge victorious and rule the galaxy?Gameplay
Eclipse places you in control of a vast interstellar civilization, competing for success with its rivals. But instead of overcomplex set of rules and overall epicness, it offers more accessible choices, more elegant mechanics and much faster gameplay. And it does all of that without reducing the strategic depth of the game - just like every euro-style board game should.

It Is A great game of board and a disastrous conversion to videogame. Let'S Say that they have limited to move the game to the PC and neither have adapted well to the medium nor have polished its operation.
Especially bleeding is that the most interesting part of the game, which is the multiplayer, does not allow to finish a single game because it makes a mess with the shifts and blocks us all until by time limit eliminates us.
The response of the developers is also not very alagüeña, as they do not even answer.
A broken game in short.

I Am a big fan of the board game, and together with some friends we bought this version to be able to play it online.
In A first game once you arrive at the final shifts, there is a bug in the play that does not manage the assignment of shifts well, and is blocked preventing the end of the game. We tried a second game thinking it might be something punctual and it has happened again.
I have contacted by mail with the designers to inform them about this topic and I have not received any answer.
I Do Not recommend your purchase because in online mode fails and does not allow to finish the game.
A big disappointment.

It's the great board game Eclipse, as a computer-game. Should be an easy "recommend!"
But alas, animations are subpar, a non-optional ship-destroyed-animation almost makes me want to rate this game "not recommended". When do ships burn in space and when do they give of a woof-woof-woof burning sound in the void?
Adding insult to injury - the AI is clunky and silly, making stupid mistakes that makes losing really hard if you play "tight".
Haven't played the multiplayer so I can't rate that. I'll have to give the game a thumbs up but it's just because it's such a great table top game, not because "Big Daddy's Creations" did a good job porting it to IOS and PC.

I own a copy of the board game and I like it. But I never managed to bring six players together, so I bought the online version and played against the AI a couple of times.
Too bad, the games is not playable right now. Bugs occur frequently. Some can be fixed by ending the game and restart it by using "resume". But sooner or later a play ending bug comes along. No way to fix it - at least I haven't found one yet. It's a little bit frustrating.
For me the game looks like a test version. Hope it will be fixed pretty soon. Right now I can't recommend this game, which is pretty sad.
Looks like someone took care of the issues. I have played 3 games in a row without a game ending bug. So I can recommend the game now.
