Elder Sign: Omens

At the base, the dice game is nice, we win around 1 times out of 2, it just lacks the cooperative side that one could expect on a game "Cthulhu". But apparently the video adaptation has resumed the game with its extension which is much harder and therefore more frustrating. Let's add to this the fact that this video version is not user friendly: it is not possible to check the equipment of inactive characters to plan the actions and the rules concerning some great old ones are unclear. So we feel that the game is "baclé", a good version would have at least proposed the extension as an option and would have been "user friendly". Adding House options would have the top. In this version, the video version does not bring anything. Buy the dice game on occasion and you will have more fun.

Elder Signs: Omens is a very nicely done Implementation of the Board game. The Game is a bit happy-based, but you can still win quite well with the right Tactics. By the lucky Factor, however, the Game is always exciting and it is never really foreseeable beforehand whether you win or lose the Game now. Would I now only want to See Arkham Horror implemented as a Computer Game;)

This app is a digital version of FFG's board game. Although some things have been simplied (only one big bad guy, no allies or lingering effects, etc.), the guys at FFG's media division have corrected the board game's biggest fault by making this version much harder. Doom tokens are being added all the time making it a real race to find the Elder Signs. One negative thing is that this is a direct iPad port without thinking about making it mouse/computer friendly. It takes a while to get used to the interface there is littl help in the game. Try to think that everything is clickable and use the arrows to move from one Adventure description to the next. Give it a try!

The Game is very nicely implemented by the Board Game variant. It takes a bit of a Game (half to an hour) to understand, but if you look again at the various short Tutorials, it goes very well. The beautiful Graphics and matching Sound effects create a slightly creepy Mood. Great for Lovecraft fans. As An old Call Of Cthulhu role player, I immediately felt comfortable and reminded of Times gone by:-) I hope for more evil Older gods to compete against! Oh, there's no memory button. Just quit the Program (Ctrl + Q) and the next Time The game starts, the Game asks if you want to keep playing.

I have never played the original table version, but this game I'm liking a lot. The game is not immediately (but fortunately there are excellent video tutorials, as well as instructions) and, apart from the basic level quite easy, in the next levels things get really difficult and this can cause some frustration, especially because Of the great importance covered by the luck factor (the nut shoots, essential in the original table, have been replaced by a kind of slot machine and roughly the game is to try to influence the results). In any case, the atmosphere of impending threat and loss of mind typical of Lovecraft's tales is recreated very well by the graphic and sound apparatus, so for fans (like me) of the Providence writer the game is absolutely a must.
