Like some other Reviewers, I was Lucky Enough to get a free Upfront version of "Epic Quest of the 4 Crystals."
The Game is an above-average RPG Maker Game. What's positive Is that the Game mostly has its own Graphics, Sounds and an extra customized, turn-based combat system-so the Game already stands out from the Extent of RPG Maker Titles, in which the same Graphics and Game Mechanics are constantly the same graphics and game Mechanics. Recycled.
Otherwise, "Epic Quest of the 4 Crystals" represents a nice 16-Bit RPG, which is certainly worth a Look for Fans of the Genre but otherwise does not represent a Highlight.

Unfortunately, I haven't had very much Time to play this Game yet. But already the first Few minutes have shown me that it's exactly my Thing. In the good SNES Zelda style you will experience an Adventure here. But unlike the Nintendo craft, Epic Quest is more meant for adult Players. This is especially visible through the Dialogues, such as a young Man in the Church going to a Nun and asking her for Advice: "How does a womens clitoris look like?" And his Girlfriend stands in the Background and repeatedly tells him how great he is and everything he does So o right would be. I'm already looking forward to spending more Time in this Game.

So yes, what can I say ... The Game has some nice Approaches and I guess the Story isn't that bad at all, but it drags on indefinitely. I got this Game in the Wake of a crap game challenge where some cheap Keys are bought, the associated Games of which then have to be played for two Hours. The first Hour I was bored to Death because absolutely nothing happened except this stupid Scavenger hunt. In Between, there are always meaningless and Unrelated Players, who are not explained any further.
The different Characters, on the other hand, are very amusingly developed when you can cope with the fact that they are heavily Oversubscribed, and it is quite Fun to follow their sometimes more and sometimes rather strange Dialogues. Above all, I like the little Gags that are built in in between and solve some Topics that are never clarified in other Games in a very creative Way. For Example, the Rationale for permanent open Doors throughout the Game world is that this is almost an Invitation to Steal.
I would actually like to Finish playing the Game because, as mentioned at the Beginning, it seems to be quite interesting. But I'm a little afraid of the huge Gaps between the Story Parts, in which the Player just follows a Path And sometimes also has to go back and forth very haphazardly back and forth an eternally seeming period of Time in order to continue to advance in the History of the Game To be able to come.
So if you come to terms with such relatively large Gaps in the Plot and are into creative But not necessarily sophisticated Dialogues, then the Game is just right for you. But If you expect Depth and a quickly told Story, you will be disappointed.
Because I enjoyed testing This Game after some Teething problems, I ultimately give it 7 out of 10 white black Magicians in Leather Straps and a backward Protagonist.
