The Book of Legends reviews and comments

Translated by
Microsoft from French
If you want a quick review here is: the book of legends is a solid game made via RPGmaker. He has a quality soundtrack that transcribes well the atmospheres of the game, characters very endeant and with a good sense of humor. The game suffers just from some limitations due to RPGmaker, from the farm far too present and the language barrier because if you are not fluent in English Bah too bad for you. But we are still dealing with a real good little RPG with a good life packed with humor and cool characters with a longer life than correct, to try if you are a fan of the genre, a good little surprise. If you want more details about the good points and the bad points of the game, I invite you to read the following: + the music, they are very friendly. They are not necessarily ultra original but they stick perfectly to the atmosphere that seeks to convey the game, I think especially the one on the map. In all cases the atmosphere of medieval Asia that seeks to transcribe the game is very present. + The characters, they are present in large numbers, there is indeed a multitude to recruit (including several animals) which are quite endeant or funny. I take the example of Teskab, a guy with a basket head that you can recruit only if you observe one of the many baskets of the game or even the main character, Jordan, arrogant towards all and that does not lack at any time to mock others and that he is superior to them which becomes a real wonderful ♥ ♥ ♥ + ♥ ♥ + ♥ ♥ ♥ + humor, it is very present in the game and often makes fly. The game for example in addition to the humor of its characters, takes time to mock many clichés of the genre RPG or mock the absurdity of certain situations like when one finds an object in a broken column. +/-the secondary quests, if they are generally quite nice, more than one will be cryptic enough or will not be able to do before a precise moment of the story and even there in either one has a little forgotten their existences. The game will ask you a lot of snooping absolutely everywhere and if you like it Ben... ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥-The farm is an aspect of the genre that does not bother me personally. However there are games where the farm can be far too tedious, this is the case of this game. For Yes if the actions are chained fast enough, the number of fights necessary for a fight can sometimes be huge. In addition the farm is absolutely necessary to advance in history. The farm is donation here completely poorly dosed bringing to a lot of times when if you have nothing to do next we are totally fucked. -The RPGmaker limits, they are extremely visible. Even without being a pro with RPGmaker have can see from all over the engine brands. So there are times when the game appears a little limited by all this and can not get away or do something with it. -The language barrier, I have no worries with English, but it remains a pity to see that many players are deprived of titles by the barrier of English. In short, in summary: we have here a game RPGmaker with a lot of content, served by an atmosphere not bad at all and populated with endearing characters, but which is seen a bit leaded by the farm too present and the limits of the engine quite flagrant. If you like it or just RPGmaker and you do not know what to do, Bah this game is really not bad and will have enough to occupy you.
