Escape the Cave (Kyllingene)
About
You play as a slime, using your (dubious) powers of gravity to collect coins and avoid spikes on your ascent to the fabled surface.
GAMEPLAY:You control a slimey boi slime who can control his gravity; however, you can only fall left or right. You (permanently) collect coins on your journey through a semi-random cave (for the reward of a good conscience) to the magically enlarging hole, and at the end of your journey - well, you can see for yourself.
CONTROLS:- Change Gravity: ← / → OR A / D
- Move Up / Down: ↑ / ↓ OR W / S
Art: Aseprite
Sound Effects: SFXR
Music: BeepBox
Engine: Godot
NOTES: KNOWN PROBLEMS:- Difficulty is all over the place
- No pause menu
- No mute button
- No checkpoints
- The "ending" is lackluster
- The "visuals" are terrible
This sorry excuse for a playable game is the result of my lack of art skill, my choice to do my first game jam ever using a completely new engine (Godot), while in the process of moving, and then scrapping my game over halfway through. However, this string of unquestionably bad choices at least resulted in my first ever game!
