Old School RPG.
So between Ultima 6 and 7. No Controllers support.
I found the Controls fussy and annoying.
Otherwise running Around, killing Monsters, talking to People and getting Them Castes Beer.
Am not patient enough for it and there are imho at the Moment better Representatives of the Genre.

Eschalon: Book III is a turn-based role-playing game in a rather retro style the game is part of a trilogy (from which are number 3) but can be played independently of the other two episodes. On the other hand, if you buy the three games at once, I advise you to start with the first book then the second that seem much more basic in the interface but much richer by their story (according to some players). On my side, they are waiting to be played.
Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to play as long as I would have liked to Eschalon book 3. But there's one thing I'm sure is that that's how I like role-playing.

Typically the game for which the steam system does not rhyme and deserves to be replaced by a notation (and it would be worth a 5/10, neither good nor bad so).
End of the Eschalon trilogy, the mediocre series that will never take off and will remain bogged down in game design flaws easily correctable/avoidable notwithstanding an undeniable desire to offer a retro game rich in possibilities.
The game remains of the mini-maxage, so always so unbalanced.
The game remains on enemies that do not respawnent, so always supposed to be important... but they're still not.
The game keeps its writing terribly flat, so always unsurprisingly most of the time and appalling in its final.
The game always has its mechanics of trainers, so the money is always the most important resource of the game.
Loot is always random in chests, so it's always the ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ and I can continue like this for all the flaws of the game...
And yet there have been little improvements:-the foraging is no longer done with the campsite but during the walk-you can finally train on the armor/shields-it is indicated at the entrance of the game that explosive cans can be worn-experience flows afloat this is the whole problem of this series: there is a desire to do well, there are ideas, there is a sweet retro perfume, it is very Charlie... and at the same time there is a plethora of aberrations, a poverty of imagination, an ignorant archaism.
In short, it is a very small series, without great interest, that you want to love but that you can objectively not qualify as good as the flaws you jump in the face. :/
