E.T. reminds me to games from the late 90`s and early 2000`s. Best similar game would be Unreal 2 (Funfact: its made with UDK), and just like U2 it`s a good game with nice graphics but not perfect polished. The difference is clear, the price is way lower than the U2 price on release, so thats okay.
The graphics are Unreal Engine like very nice, the only things that are not so nice: While changing weapons, it took sometimes a few seconds to load the hd texture from the weapon. And: sometimes the game "freezes" for about a second. Thats often before huge enemy waves arrive.
The sound is basic but okay, with some themes which are going into the score corner, so some "epic" songs to bring dramatic into the game.
The AI is.... basic. Buddys arent very effectiv, even the enemys, so if you go slow and steady, you will survive even the (unlockable) brutal difficulty. Btw: All the achievements are almost all easy, except the "finish the game only with 100% accuracy".
Overall a nice, classic Shooter. And surely worth the money.

The most:-Wow! Graphically, a nice slap! An Unreal engine very well used, with beautiful textures, perfect light games, very pleasantly surprised for an indie game!
-A clean gameplay, from the classic FPS.
-A very good soundtrack, at the level of voices and music.
-A basic but effective level-design, with classic FPS pattern of the genre: combat, walk in a corridor, fight, etc...
The minus:-a tiny lifespan, 3-4H of game to finish the game...-the background of the game looked interesting, but not pushed at all (at the same time, in 4H of play...). Same for the characters, especially the chef.
-No variations in the types of enemies, few weapons.
-As usual, a multiplayer dead in the egg, and without bots.
-It seems to me that there has been a abandonment on the part of the devs for this game, so do not expect to see the multi drilling in the future.
-A French translation that leaves to be desired...
N.B.:-some people complain of a lack of dynamism at the level of the fights (explosions, fire, etc...). It did not shock me more than that, but you are informed now.
Conclusion: E.T. armies has the strengths of a large, with the means of a small. This is not the game of the year, but its graphics and gameplay will satisfy you during the small hours that the game offers. To be taken on sale.
