Product received for free Early Access Review "Evospace" Designer + sandbox. Mixture of "Factorio" and "Minecraft". We Build various constructions, houses and factories.
Game in early access. At the moment there is no definite purpose, history, survival or quests. The Game generates a large three-dimensional world and invites us to engage in it resource extraction and construction.
The Collection of resources resembles the game "Minecraft", but here we do not need picks, shovels, etc. We have a versatile "Multitouch" that carries out any blocks. Then we select the appropriate resource. It is a rather boring and tedious occupation. There are no Enemies and creatures in the game! In The sky fly birds, but it's just a décor. No dangers, enemies, allies, animals in "Evospace" at the moment is not provided! In This beautiful 3d world you are lonely. Therefore, the usual mode in the style of healing can be scored, better immediately switch to "Creative mode" and create yourself all the necessary resources and mechanisms than run, look for the desired material and chisel blocks.
Creative mode also resembles "Minecraft". You can create all the items in the game in any quantity and place them as you wish. You can turn on flight mode and move around the world. I have not tested how big the world, but digging the ground, I reached the bottom (funny sounds): Under the layers of earth and stones impenetrable floor, which restricts the world from below.
What is pleased is the crafting table-"database". It is very comfortable and informative. Clicking on any object you can see what it is produced, what use, what this mechanism can recycle. To create an item in creative mode, simply click on the corresponding icon in the "Database". Similarly, in normal mode, we create simple things (crafting a player that does not require mechanisms) with the only difference is that you get the item only if you have the necessary resources in your inventory.
In Addition to the décor and blocks for the construction of houses, the game has many different mechanisms that allow you to create automated production lines. Here, as in "Factorio", you can create infrastructure, build factories and support their work.
Here is the biggest disadvantage of the game-there is no textbook/training on all these mechanisms.
How to create production lines, what mechanisms you can combine, what you need to organize the industrial process you have to guess yourself! In the form of a hint at each mechanism on the sides of blocks there is a marking showing the place of connection of energy (water/steam), input of resources and output of production. If you have put a stove or a press, and they do not work, then look on marking and try to pick up the necessary mechanism, to connect all this case pipes or conveyors that the line has earned. Searching and trying the method of poking is tedious, considering that in the 3d world it is much more difficult to place blocks than in "Factorio".
If you like to design production lines, create different buildings and ennobling the surrounding world, then the game is recommended. There are many objects and mechanisms that give freedom to your creativity. Just keep in mind that you have to accept the lack of training, goals, tasks and enemies.
P. S. For developer: 1. The Game needs training. It would be nice to make some small videos to create the simplest production lines or add something like drawings.
2. Need quests, enemies, or at least some purpose. It is Good to add the ability to unload your world or factory in a workshop (Steam Workshop).
3. The Menu of the selected block is not closed by itself. You can open, for example, the oven menu and calmly fly to another part of the world, throwing resources into the stove at a distance, as Jedi. In Addition, if you open the menu of one block, it is not possible to open the menu of another block until you close all the menus on the screen! It's uncomfortable.
4. You need to remove the ability to put items in the slot for output "Output". There is no point in putting into the mechanisms any rubbish that has nothing to do with this production process. I can shove in the "Output" slot of the furnace anything, even one more stove!
