Often the tag RPG Maker on Steam means that the game is done in a couple of evenings; The author just bought a discount engine and used only standard kits to create his brainchild. In the case of Franky the Bumwalker, things are a little different. The game is all art entirely author, but the style is rather reminiscent of what many of us drew on the lessons of creativity in school, not professional art.
The Local plot is trying to parody the good story of frivolous adventurers. An Unusual creature for which we have to go through this funny, and in some places-a strange tale, the name is Frankie. He is a representative of the kind of Pohikes. His nickname "Pohike" is really sends to the fact that he uses his fifth point to move around the earth. Literally.
It Looks and perceives it as strange and ambiguous, but it is worth to spend in the game for more than five minutes-everything is in place. The Whole world and its characters look as if they were drawn under the inspiration of Teletubbies. It resembles two things: the finest arthouse and the artistic masterpieces of a ten-year-child. And It seems that the second option makes sense if the game was made especially for children. To this there are all The prerequisites: This is a good story without a double bottom, our hero everywhere surrounded by naivety and simplicity in all its manifestations and, finally, there is no chernuha.
If I did not recognize the standard for the RPG Maker interface, then I would most likely, and did not think that Franky the Bumwalker is made on it. The Game is more like a quest of the 90s than something created on the engine for second-class JRPG. An example of the gameplay similarity is to try to allocate to the Moon, but I will not do this, because it is just another level of quality and depth.
Here we are moving on a global map that has certain points that we need to visit. To move on-you will need to perform a couple of errands in the spirit of submit-bring-talk. And so to The victorious end. Dialogues are sometimes quite interesting, and some humorous moments can cause a smile even in an adult person. Most wanted to note that in Franky the Bumwalker we are trying to acquaint with the world of the game and its unusual inhabitants.
Well and where without obvious disadvantages: control and functionality of various menus is made as unfriendly to the player. While I was versed in how to open inventory, the game has managed to close twice without saving progress. Some technical points may leave a bad impression about the game, but it is already "features" of the engine.
In General, Franky the Bumwalker promises you will like in two cases: you love to explore strange worlds and their no less strange inhabitants... Or you are not more than 10 years old. The Game was good, as part of what comes out of the conveyor RPG Maker-masterpieces.
