About

Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare is a unique combination of tactical first-person shooter and strategy game, where the player assumes the role of a commander and raise money, build an army, engage the enemies in field combat, attack hostile territories and defend currently held ones and eventually dominate the world.

The gameplay operates on two levels: the overworld map and the first-person shooter portion. In the overworld, the player can visit locations, trade, upgrade equipment, attack enemy armies, lay siege to towns, accept missions, and more. In the FPS portion, the player enters the battlefield in the first-person view, fight as a foot soldier and issue orders to the army.

Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare reviews and comments

Translated by

Product received for free Early Access Review Heavy Times have dawned, Mercenaries roam around, Food shortages threaten the Population and a functioning Government No longer exists. Freeman Guerrilla Warfare is already scoring with its bleak Vision Of the future, but can it also excite us with the Gameplay? General [This is an early Version of the Game] Freeman Guerrilla Warfare throws us to a big Island at the Beginning. We look at a Unit that is waiting to be controlled by Cities and other units on a large Map surrounded by cities and other Units. It Soon becomes clear that this is a Kind of "Gruppe/Army." Gameplay The Gameplay is aimed primarily at First-person players and, in some Cases, even Mount & Blade lovers. On the Map you have an infinite amount of time, the Tactical System on the Map only runs when You move your own Character. You control them with the Mouse on the World Map from A to B, trade with Cities, try To avoid enemies and/or ambush with your Troop a Group of Enemies as they set up camp or prepare an Ambush for you. At the Beginning, you are pretty much on your own, the "Tutorial" is not really existent. But after a few Attempts, you understood the Game and how to find your way around the Map. If you finally decided to attack an enemy Group, the Game zooms in on another Tactical Card. This is smaller and focuses on a small Section on the big World Map. This is where you position your Troops. Red Movement Arrows can be used to see where the Enemies are likely to come from. Then, after the Lineup, you can settle yourself on the Map and heat up the opponent in the usual ego perspective. But Caution is required. A wild "Rode Race" can quickly lead to Death. Therefore, you have to approach the Matter tactically and cautiously. On the Map you can give your Troops movement orders And thus build up the defense or organize the Approach to the Enemy. Your own Player can Lie down, Squat, Run, advance carefully and and and. Veterans from the ArmA franchise presumably feel comfortable here. Then, after the Fight is over, you can loot the Opponents and thus build an ever greater Wealth. This does not end with The ownership of the Troops, but leads to the Construction of an entire own City. Freeman offers many great Approaches, but is still in Development. Positive Good graphics Great Game idea with many tactical possibilities Challenging Gameplay. You want to catch more And more opponents, fight them and develop further. Rewarding every fight won leads to the fact that you are stuck with bigger and bigger goals. Egoshooter meets strategist meets Management. What more could you want? Negative Sometimes triwest Environments detailed Card Motivation drops Off rapidly after a few Hours. Technique The Graphics fluctuate between really pretty to terribly ugly. The Animations of the individual Soldiers need an Update, because they still seem too plastic. The Game runs on Mid-range calculators fluidly. Replay Value At the Moment you play several Rounds and then wonder when is more coming. The Developer is encouraged to offer more Content, because from a certain Amount of game time, unfortunately, something is out of the Air. Conclusion The Game is currently something for anyone who likes to play tactics shooter and does not despise some Management.
