Futile Fire Fighting

Ludum Dare 50 Submission (Delay the inevitable)

Some forest fires just can’t be stopped but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try! Enter the Futile Fire Fighter Brigade, the worlds most persistent fire fighters.

Mechanics

• Bolts of lightning strike, with the period between strike shrinking over time
• Bolts set the forest on fire, and of course fire spreads
• Wind assists with the direction of the fire spread, check the wind sock on the fire truck to see the wind direction
• Move fire fighters to fire locations to put them out
• Once only 30% of the trees are left it's time to call it, the forest is done for. See how long you can hold out before you need to leave.

Controls

• To pan the camera, use WASD
• To rotate the camera, hold and drag right click
• To select a group of fire fighters, click and drag with left click
• To select a single fire fighter just tap left click
• Move selected fire fighters with just a tap of the right click
