Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 reviews and comments

An essential experience for Dragon Ball fans, if it wasn't for the horrid RNG on move drops.
Golden Freeza Race still stomps
A wet dream for DB fans, except the RNG is horrid
This game made me feel so strong and cool. I felt like I could shoot a special beam that could go all the way to Jason McNaly’s house. Piccolo is my dad and I can be Namekian with Goku hair. Thank you Toriyama.
7/10

The main draw of this game is being able to make your own character, which is what just slightly pushes it from a 5 to a 6, in my opinion. Otherwise, the combat system is pretty eh, it seems like you find one combo that works and spam it until you win. Transformations are fun, though. Story is the same as every Dragon Ball game, because every Dragon Ball game is just 're-experience the anime as a game'.

UPDATE: After how many times I've come back to this game, I feel obliged to give it a slightly higher score. I do really enjoy it, after all, even with the "pretty eh" combat system.

I had written a long Review for Xenoverse 1. Many Points that bothered me in the first Part have been improved. I'm not yet using the Game through but I can already tell quite a bit about offline Mode-apparently the online mode still has its Pitfalls. But Have already done about 15 online matches. Personally, I never had any Problems .. One more thing: The Music. Those who watched Dragonball in German or Japanese are certainly like me not so enthusiastic about the Music. PC thanks, but there is the "Music Soundtrack MOD – Original Japanese Songs" on xenoversemosters Point-com. Childhood memories are awakened again:D Pros: You can create your own Character, level and equip With value-changed Costumes and Skills The World you can freely commit is much bigger and more Extensive and also accessible! It was Also equipped with Mini-games (Milk Delivery, Looking for items for Yamcha, feeding Buu). In addition to story missions, you can do Faction Missions (Freezer, Grosser Sayaman, Namek, Etc.) A lot of Attacks and Characters to Unlock Thanks to QQ-Bang system you are no longer necessarily reliant on costume bonis mentor system has been revised (you can train for example at Vegeta to learn your Skills but have Piccolo as a Mentor)-This time All The coaches in the Game world are in a certain Place-so it's no longer up to Chance who's there right now. The Game runs very fluidly and stable The Controls are good with an X-Box controller. The Detection is partly annoying and the Combo is interrupted (E.g. B + Y hurls the Opponent away-but sometimes only the B or Y button is detected-apparently it could be on the wrong Timing with the Combo). Online features (send Gifts, interact, form Groups ...) Each Paralellquest has 2 secret Targets-these Events are no longer Random! And when you die there, you still managed the Quest-you just didn't manage the Extra Goals. Local Multiplayer (on the same Screen) is better than in the first Part. There are several Maps to Choose from. But Only 1 vs. 1 is possible. Is probably not technically feasible otherwise, as a Split-screen and Focus are dispensed with. Each Race has its own Transformation. Sayajins can now transform to SSJ3 and the AI spam has been abolished! Xenoverse's System has been revamped-luckily! There are now Training mode and training Missions More Characters are available to Choose Dragonball Super and the DBZ Movies Negative (looks like more, but are only small Things): Other Chars, Such as Son-Goku, Picollo etc., cannot be customized. There are different Presets with different Abilities and Appearance) Fighting Style of your Own charm is not customizable. Would Have been cool if you could take on the Fighting Style from The Mentor. The block system could be better-possibly incorporate a Way to Interrupt or counter enemy combos ... As it is now, it is hard to use. Many Objects of the Map are Destroyable, but Holes etc. that you can repel, you only see 1 second until they disappear again (to Xenoverse 1 there was a Mod, there will be here vlt). Your NPC Comrades-in-arms are relatively stupid and never (actually stupid AI in general) Social Interactions with online Players is very limited (you still can't chat freely) Search for Dragonballs is still solved desirably (become accidental Dropped at Time-patrolling challenges). A better System would be integrated (Dragonball search missions) 1:1 recyclte maps of Xenoverse 1 with better Textures. Map change through the Teleport Stations is somehow no longer Up-to-date online Raids and other Events occur on Weekends at certain Times ... Doof, if you never have Time ... No original soundtrack (see above because Of Mod, which provides a remedy) On the whole, the Game is a real Improvement for me. Graphically, it was washed up and the Gameplay greatly improved. I have my Fun With it. The Game would still have an extremely high amount of Air up, though. What I Think is really lacking is the Destruction of the Map of shooting each other into the Sky or bothering down at The Earth in heaven. For Example, with the Map with God-the Sky is, so to speak, a Cage. When you fly down unconscious, at some point you just float in the same Place. I even think in Tenkaichi 2 the Map was changed when you were carved down. Or if you made an ultimate Attack like the Genkidama In Tenkaichi, the World was destroyed. That's definitely missing ..
