About

Game of life follows the rules proposed by John Horton Conway in 1970.

In the grid game universe the cells will interacts with its eight neighbours.

In each generation can occur:

  • A live cell with fewer than two live neighbours dies, by underpopulation.
  • A live cell with two or three live neighbours lives
  • A live cell with more than three live neighbours dies, by overpopulation.
  • A dead cell with exactly three live neighbours becomes a live cell

Two variations can be turned on:

  • HighLife: A dead cell with exactly six life neighburs becomes a live cell
  • Immigration: Cells can be two colors. Any newborn cell is colored according to the majority color of its living neighbours.

Program features:

  • Select between 3 grid sizes
  • Configurable initial population
  • During simulation you can edit the cells in the grid
  • Includes variations: HighLife and Immigration
