Why did I buy this Game?
I'm not really sure. Probably primarily because of the Optics and the obvious Parallels to Hotline Miami. I also found the Mix of Zombie Hooter, Top-Down and 16-Bit look quite exciting. This Title was rated 65% by GameStar. Normally I don't look at titles like that any further, but somehow I shot.
My first Impression As expected, Top-Down in 16-Bit look. The Whole thing trimmed with Flicker Effects on 80s VHS style. All pretty coherent. Has definitely made You want more. I find the Shock Moments quite well done but also not outstanding. Where a gabs, since hats almost pushed me out of the Chair. But I do not reveal where As expected you roam the Area, at first you still defend yourself with Fists, later there is an Axe to go, then a gun etc. The Sounds are full and go down well, the Graphics also look very cool for the pixel look.
Story With a Word, mau. Dechipped Type with severe Childhood and Drug Problems struggles through the Zombie Brood. In short Flashbacks, there is talk of his Relationship with his Father, or of his (ex-) girlfriend. From about two-thirds of the Game, I thought to myself, how cool it would be to whom he only imagines it all because he would be on ' nem Trip, ' Bad Trip '. That would explain certain Logic gaps. Anyway, the Story is sometimes the weakest thing about the Game, even the Finale leaves you rather dissatisfied. Above all, I made it ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Game Mechanics which works wonderfully, as in the Genre Representatives, you control your Alter ego with the WASD Keys, aim and shoot with the MOUSE. All so far so well known. With Space key, you can still dodge with ' roll and press any Buttons with E. So everything evaporated to The Essentials.
In addition, there are mostly Ball Passages, Puzzle Passages, Skill Passages and even a longer Creeping Passage.
The GameStar test faults the fluctuating Level Of Difficulty. So from because of trial and Error. I wouldn't have seen it that way. However, that was more Fun with hotline Miami because re-entry Went faster. Apart from that, I found the Difficulty (normal) quite achievable. All the way to the Final Boss. After the X-th Attempt I put down to "easy," otherwise I probably wouldn't be finished today.
Verdict Garage: Bad Trip is Fun. Zombies over the Heaps are balling with Shotgun, Magnum, AK etc. that's actually always possible. Unfortunately, I have the Impression that the Developers want to finish quickly at the End. I can't really explain the End of the Story any other way. There would have been more in it. Bit More Twists, or Surprises. Why was the Colleague No longer clearly recognizable in the last Story act? Why does she look similar to Butch's Father, what Did Butch actually lose everything in there? All the Points that I think could have been brushed to an aha effect. Well, maybe there's something that's coming, and that's what's At ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
If there were a horizontal Thumb, the Game would have the one now.
A mixed Buy recommendation from me.
