    Get to the end of the maze and find the golden genome there, which will give you evolutionary superiority and all that.

    Collect useful genes to get stronger. They will come across you along the way or fall out of enemies. Remember that your genome is limited in size, and genes can have different lengths, so you can get more of short genes into your genome. The new gene may not fit into your genome very well and push something useful out of it.
