GeoVox reviews

Great software overall. To use it's own texture or 3D model it's not simple as manipulation, you have to go through unity and I find it binding. There is also some bug of camera or freeze or even crashes of the software at certain times. I find that the bugs impact enormously the use of long-Therme software. Conclusion: I recommend it that if you find it in promo.

The Sumpestuous review: As an extremely budget (by discount) analog WorldMachine quite come down, true interface as always inconvenient (AGF same), export through the fifth place and the settings are not so much. Kind of friends with Unity through the export to AGFPro Premium (from it already in Unity, yes). But It is not exactly/I am lazy to check/no longer so budget-but still cheaper. In DAE exports Normally, the main thing is not to put a tick on the assets and weed (out of memory, AGF same... Azas). There is an export of altitude map in PNG. No complaints. Built-in random elevation map generator. No need to be a landscape designer-and this is for me perhaps the only necessary function. The Trees will also be put on the grass... But when exporting... (out of memory, AGF same...). The Caves of the Voxelas in the video did not peel, so there is nothing to say. And well, do not be surprised-made with Unity (AGF same). P.S.: Yes, I know that there are free analogues better. I heard about torrents. P.P.S.: AMD + GeoVox = BSOD

Avoid Him like the plague. Really! You Spend your money in a different way. Although The program is fast and practical, it is not possible to export anything useful. Also by selecting a single block of land for export to DAE, GeoVox will go "Out of memory" and block everything. With 16Gb of RAM. It does not go better with the export to OBJ, which generates tiny OBJ hundreds containing each ONE branch of the many trees that populate the scene. Not To mention the leaves and the grass... You have to spend literally an hour importing each individual OBJ and hoping that it has retained the original position. When you can get a complete terrain without blocking... The UV's are devastated! When you apply any texture, you will get a mixture of undignified colors. Every single Polygon has its own UV separated from everything else, and even stretched to the farfetched. It Does not export any type of bumpmap, transparency or normal. The textures that should be created especially for the terrain turn out to be simple images, not even seamless, thrown there randomly. In order To have a less normal look, you need to import the ground in Silo or Blender or any other 3D creation program, to recreate the UV and to repaint the textures... But I thought that the purpose of GeoVox was JUST to create a ground complete with textures and ready to use! I Doubt that anyone, game creator or artists, can make anything usable for us.
