Ghostly Matter
About
Professor Penderghast, the world's leading expert in the capture of ghosts and other supernatural creatures, receives a desperate cry for help over the radio: it's Melvil, his old friend and colleague.
All clues lead to the mysterious Blackwood mansion: an estate located in a remote area of northern Scotland, which is said to be afflicted by a terrible curse. Guide the professor through the darkness and solve the mystery of the haunted house as you try to find out what happened to your missing friend. Solving puzzles, exploring, collecting items and uncovering a mystery form the basis of the game; but there will be no shortage of deadly weapons and explosions, disgusting enemies popping up everywhere and frenetic action.
The first game from the Small Bros studio and developed by single person, Ghostly Matter is a typical metroidvania where mechanics borrowed from graphic adventures combine for an exciting genre crossover.

I bought it for my 10-year-old nephew, playing together helping him to solve the various passages I gradually became more and more curious to discover the story. Already from the prologue we understand that the plot is forewarned much more complex and intriguing than a videogame story platform.
Beautiful the ability to customize the TV filters, sympathetic character and dialogues (although in the prologue a bit ' long), Gamplay funny. First part after the complex prologue, but with a little bit of logic you can overcome.

Ghostly Matter is an old school metroidvania. The game boasts a captivating and detailed graphic style, which exudes the huge passion of the pixel art development team. Gameplay Side, the game proves very deep, alternating action sequences, platform sequences, puzzle sequences, and graphical adventure sequences. All well assembled and balanced.
I'M still in the early stages of what promises to be a long-lived and intriguing game, but I already feel to recommend it to all lovers of the genre!

Spet-Ta-co-Lo!
It's a bit like being catapulted into all that beautiful had the years 80/90 from the graphics to the type of game, the dozens of references that are around during the game, but... But with a commitment to play that was hardly in the games of the past. Setting, characters, enemies, PowerUp, item: Everything is cared for in the smallest detail. To This is added the fact that you can play at different levels of difficulty able to make the experience more and more challenging.
Recommended in all points of view!

Not recommended. The view is very pretty pixel Metrodvania, but is played poorly, the balance is extremely unhealthy. Dammage from everywhere enters a lot, mobs are constantly revived, and first aid kits are practically not present and Chekpokntov very little. Easily happens that killed skeletons near any crypt, enter, take the necessary object, getting from the crypt-Oppa, all killed alive and stand around you and you lose half of health (and first aid kits, remind, almost no). You Die, you run anew ten screens from the checkpoint to the necessary crypt, once again killing along the way of all the skeletons, which again revived. And so many times.
And Another ingenious solution-in the game a lot of invisible enemies, which are visible only in a special mode of "ghostly vision", the activation of which sucks health. That is, you simply cannot kill a ghost without receiving a dammage-at least a guaranteed damag will come from a ghostly vision that must be actively the whole battle; Plus, its even in peacetime constantly have to turn on for a second to pinganut, whether there are ghosts around. As a result, you are constantly losing your health, even if no one beats you (I already said that the first aid kits in the game is almost no?) Refand.
