Exciting new platformer that combines the action-RPG genre with hack 'n' slash gameplay. 2D action, heroic characters, gloomy environments, demonic bosses, these all seem to excite players a lot. Pixels will be combined with other cool retro elements and the result will certainly be something that will meet the needs of mobile gamers. Once in-game, users will get to control a heroic character who will often be seen throwing a spear to create additional platforms. Ghoulboy reviews and comments

Where most highlights Ghoulboy is in its appearance, emulating an atmosphere located between 8 and 16 bits. It has worked on the representation of a retro aesthetic with that pixel-art well achieved and a small group of 3 visual layers that give another touch to the experience. The dark and saturated shades help to recreate a gothic atmosphere reminiscent of the ancient Castlevania and Ghost and Goblins, with lugubres enemies and stone textures. The music accompanies well, although it can become repetitive, and the sound effects that activates the optención of items is too high. As for the controls, the game allows a friendly and intuitive development. The spaces Are provided to learn how to handle the character and the enemies are varied for the duration of the game. I Missed in this section a little more difficulty, because, once obtained good weapons and improvements, does not imply great progress. An Advantage that cushions the absence of difficulty in enemies can be the exploration that developers provide when building routes makes more money and upgrades, in addition to the ability to skip our thrown spears to build our own Shortcuts. Ghoulboy-Dark Sword of Goblin, although it does not give anything new to the players nor is it a work of applause, if it will provide a few hours of carefree fun and a share of nostalgia to the lovers of the retro.

Ghoulboy is a 2D platformer, action and adventure game that immediately reminds us of old fashioned games with retro style. Gunzabar was a land inhabited by witches, demons, ghouls and many creepy monsters. It Was ruled by Gamunbal, a cruel goblin king. But there was a prophecy among the sorcerers, which said that the last Goblin king was to be killed by a ghouls hunter. The Goblin King knew there was only one hunter of this kind in the kingdom and he knew him very well. The Hunter was called Galdar, a ruthless guy who had killed thousands of ghouls during his life. Galdar had a son, a fearless boy, fearless and rebellious, called Thulgar. The fame of this boy, like that of his father, had spread over distant lands. People called him GhoulBoy. Shortly thereafter, Gamunbal would capture Galdar and lock him in a dark dungeon in order to stop the prophecy and his own death. But the Goblin in something had been mistaken as the prophecy was not quite correct... Gameplay The Game is quite simple, we move, we jump (we have a double jump) and we have weapons. In the section of arms, we have a main that is a kind of dagger, this can be changed by a sword or some other stronger element with the passing of time. As A secondary weapon we will have several types, a species of double daggers, a spear and other elements that will be collected during our advancement. Difficulty The game at first is quite simple, in a couple of minutes you can pass several levels without any problem. While the difficulty increases when we have advanced regular in the game, I still feel that it is not challenging enough and at first can become monotonous and even a bit boring. The variety is already when we have advanced, that's why I feel that the game is fun, but it takes to hook, it's like those movies that are slow at first, but then get interesting. Conclusion The Game is entertaining, it is a good platform, but sometimes it is a bit more of the same as there is in the market. I Feel that, for a fan of the platforms, it would be a good option to have a few hours of fun and keep you entertained. I consider if, for an uncommon player of the genre, the possibility that the game is something like some other similar title of the market. All This does not remove the game is good and also manages to give us hours of fun. I would have liked more innovations or inclusions of different mechanics, but in general lines the game meets, does not stand out but meets.
