Goetia
About
The ruins of any village are the silent testament to its final moments. The ruins of Oakmarsh are no different. Their telling silence, the dust blanketing what was once a quiet village near Coventry.
The name of a manor and the family that lived within. A perverted and mad lineage, a clan whose final members devoted their life to mysticism and fanatical experiments. I am Abigail. Abigail Blackwood. Recently risen from the grave, I know nothing about the last 40 years of my family’s history... But obviously somebody is keen on seeing me lift the veil on what happened in Oakmarsh - to what led to the downfall of Blackwood Manor. And it seems like I have no choice in the matter…

Goetia is a mixed bag of good and bad design ideas. The pacing is a bit uneven, and one can easily get lost in the sprawling manor and its surroundings. Some of the later puzzles felt very unfair, and we ended up finishing the game using a walkthrough. Yet, despite these shortcomings, this is definitely one of the most memorable p&c game I've played. Many puzzles are very clever and satisfying to solve, the atmosphere is fantastically rendered, and the story is mysterious and nicely told. This game reminded me of John Saul's Blackstone Chronicles, an old favorite of mine, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice p&c ghost story.

It was good, but finally not... Graphically it's nice, the easy grip and, a priori, the narration holds the road. This is for positive points. Not enough to make the experience unforgettable. The puzzles are really complex, sometimes twisted and you have to spend a crazy time reading and rereading the huge mass of manuscripts and other lost letters to find the correlation that will make that Ah ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥-♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ this is what to do!!!
On the other hand it is vast. Then it could look good like that, but since we are very little pointed we find quickly lost, not in the map, but in the progression because we leave a packet of puzzles and objects in suspense (the objects moved remain where they were placed) and we finish p AR no longer know where it is...
So I say not... as soon as we are caught up in the atmosphere (rather successful, both peaceful and disturbing) and we really dive into the game, the experience can be pleasant, no doubt. But if like me you show up in casual looking for a little dot & click that will fill your moments of freedom, drop. The game is far too demanding for that...

An interesting fantastic story to follow, Musics that stick well to the universe and a coherent artistic direction. We quickly get to walk little Abigail and play her spectrum status. Goetia is a point & click succeeds in terms of gameplay and immersion.
On the other hand, the Enigma is good and at least good. Goetia is not a game that ends in 1 or 2 hours by clicking right to left at the nose. There are puzzles that will require a fairly thorough reflection. Some require knowledge of specific areas. And that's where the disappointment pointed his nose. If you do not do some research on the Internet it will be very complicated to solve some puzzles (and good luck if you want to try all the combinations to find the answer). The game's devs could have added knowledge books so that we could have everything in the game, otherwise it really breaks the experience. Apart from that, I had a good experience with this game and I would recommend it. Level duration, the game can end in one day (some puzzles are not required to complete the game, but you will not have a 100% if you pass them).
This a quite short point and click adventure where you play as a ghost revealing the mysteries of you family. Some puzzles are fairly hard, but still pleasant to solve. The visual style and sound are OK. I think it's a good game for a couple of evenings, but I think that I'd have been happier, if I hadn't bought it for the full price.
