Early Access Review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncrLtm0ljkY What is Habitat? VÖ 09.07.2014 Surprise, Humanity has once again made it and put itself before the Abyss. Nevertheless, Hope dies last and this Hope is you with a pile Of scrap metal in Orbit of the Planet. Here you only have a Mission-> Habitats to build the survival of Humanity and that's what you're dating. Well.. Stop everything that flies up here, however it came here. How does Habitat Play out at An initial Level, we reach orbit with our Spaceship and from now on, with sweet little Technicians, we have to attach more Parts to our Spaceship. Here there are pretty sensual Things like Boosters, Lasers, Trusters that we can all find in cozy Orbit. But also Ferris Wheels, old Tanks, Landmarks with Lasers on the Head and other crazy Things. Once these are connected to our Spacecraft, we can activate them using resources and use them for Movement or combat. Yes, there are also Fights in Habitat, because the former orbital Defense System is now against us and Clouds full of Nanobots haunt us in our Mission. They do not, of course, want us to save Humanity and destroy our painstakingly collected habitat parts. What is currently in Early Access? Habitat is an Early Access Title that really launches in an early Alpha. So the current Version is more of a Pure Techdemo, with no real Mission content, but a nice Insight into the basic Functionality of the Gameplay. We can now endlessly build Habitats in Orbit, fight Nanowolks and blast Defensive Stations. This currently motivates for a short time, but for long-term Fun the Title still involves too little. That's why, in this Case, Early Acces is really still a Support for the Developers and a possible Contribution to the Game. Conclusion? Habitat is refreshingly a little different from many other Strategy games. The Early Access approaches are nice and convey well what it should run out of at some point. I Am concerned about the still quite Sluggish feeling of playing in the Fight and the Movement of the Spacecraft. Without Question, a realistic Physics in Space likes to lead to unwanted and funny Accidents, but then I don't build in an automatic Stop/stabilizer with the press of a button. It doesn't matter how big or fast my Pot is. But I think that such Gameplay Decisions are still smoothed with Patches and so I can recommend Habitat Conditionally. Hoping that mission Design will later involve more than gathering resources, destroying Enemies, and putting Pieces together.
