Help Club
About
Help Club is a mental health community (18+) for the metaverse. Backed by the creator of cognitive behavioral therapy, Help Club provides a safe virtual world to build lasting relationships and learn science-based techniques to overcome real-world challenges.
All anonymous. All affordable (it's free!!). And all accessible from anywhere - desktop, VR and mobile.
In Help Club, you can attend group-based peer support sessions to learn coping strategies for improving mental wellness. Users have unlimited access to potentially life-changing mental health help with things like depression, anxiety, or whatever else life is throwing at you. These event-based group sessions focus on issues that are important to users. They're not led by therapists or doctors—anyone can train to become a helper and begin to make an impact in the lives of others.
You'll have access to live groups, workshops and community events. In our live groups, a trained coach leads a discussion on recent challenges and successes members may have experienced over the past week. The coach may introduce one of our evidence-based tools and explain how it applies to specific situations. Workshops are open events that are focused on specific topics such as coping with anxiety. They also involve teaching evidence-based tools from cognitive behavioral theory. And lastly, our community events are casual hangouts that allow you to interact with our safe, non-judgemental community!
NOTE: Help Club is not able to provide support for crisis intervention. If you are at risk of harming yourself or others, please seek help through a local crisis hotline such as: National Suicide Prevention Hotline (800-273-8255) or Crisis Text Line (Text HOME to 741741)
